Nazi President Woody Ayers wields an iron fist around the office bulling and pushing around everyone in is way. If you listen closely you will hear his racist comments on a daily basis. Woody hates Jews,Muslims, Blacks, and pretty much anyone who is of color and does not bow down to him. If the walls could talk the Rev. Jessie Jackson would be at the front door of Seal Rite beating it down. But that is of course if Seal Rite ever hired a black person. You will find that they dont. The other group to never get hired at Seal-Rite is the elderly.
If you are fired you will see that your first challenge will be to get your check. Pay day is every Monday. If you are fired or quit before Monday then ex employees are told that their check will be mailed. You getting your check depends on how much hell you raise with the company. Threats and loud outburst in front of other employees is always good. Typically your wait time for your final check is two weeks. You will find that your checks will not reflect your true hours but Seal Rite has that covered too. They have employees sign their checks before they see them which binds them to except their check. This is a major EEOC violation and any Labor attorney would pick up your case for free. You will find Seal Rite will quickly settle for a few thousand dollars because they do not want the Federal Government looking into their criminal acts.
If you do get your final check then keep your envelope, because Seal Rite routinely puts the wrong date stamp on the envelopes that are mailed and this is a violation to USPS laws. You can go to the Post Master Generals website and file a complaint.
Employees are routinely subjected to hazing type practices, treats intimidation, assault, cussing, and racist comments. The telemarketing Manager Kathy Toro runs the sweat shop with an iron fist. She routinely yells and screams indignant comments at PMAs.. (Hostile Work Environment) You will find very shortly that Kathy has more things wrong with her besides her poor managing skills. Kathy loves to steel leads from fellow employees and take credit for them. This has allowed her to keep her job for so long. Note to Fl Attorney General, Kathy has all of the inner workings and criminal acts that seal rite has done in the last 5 years and would be of great help. Kathy pretends that she is a loyal Seal Rite employee but often takes Seal Rite leads and gives them to an Auburndale Construction company for a nice kick back.
If you have chosen a carrier as an in home closer for Seal-Rite then you will find out quickly that you made a big mistake. You will have daily meetings in Lakeland where owner Ron Ayers gives you a pump up session for and hour or two how you are week and need to be tougher and how great he was when he went out in the field. If your smart it wont take you long to figure out the only ones making money is Woody and Ron. If you average 100,000.00 a week in sales and 90% of that will be lost to cancelations and bad credit. Now understand the reason there are such high cancelations is that Woody doesnt like to pay his sales man so typically he will say the job cancelled. Proof is in the pudding. Just check with the local building department or sit in the parking lot and watch the subcontractors pour in to pick up supplies. The other way you wont make money is that when you sell a job you have a par or minim number you have to sell the job for. Of course this number is so high that most salesman wont hit it. What happens next is Ron will drop the price of the job which is good for Seal rite but bad for the salesman. Ron and Woody makes 40% profit and you make $100.00. I worked for Seal rite for 5 months and I spent thousands of dollars on gas and never made over 600.00 per week. The big kicker, I was number two salesman in the office week after week.
If you have sat thru the 4 hour window demonstration and you bought. Well there is still hope you have three days to cancel by law. Typically the Seal Rite team will try everything in their power to not let you know that. You will surely pay exuberant prices for the windows, and you can get the same window at Lowes and Home Depot. The one difference is you will get what you pay for with Home depot but not Seal rite.
Note to all future employees and customers of Seal Rite. Run and hide. If you dont run you will be sorry you didnt. If you are a former employee and you worked in the last two years for Seal Rite or Revco keep checking this post because a collective action is being put together by two local
