I have purchased 3 tables from Seamans Furniture. Once delivered, one table was damaged. On the 2nd attempt, the table was not the same shades as the others(charcoal vs tan). On the 3rd attempt, the table was with scratches and rocks were laid into the table unevenly. On the 4th attempt, I recieved 2 tables of different shades(tan vs green). On the 5th attempt, I refused the table of a different color(blue). On the 6th and 7th attempts, the delivery did not show up, despite the confirmation calls.
On the 8th attempt, the delivery showed up, but did not call me to come home to meet the delivery. (I asked them to page me at work as I had taken enough time off of work for these deliveries. I did get home and found a table with a 4 inch scratch in it. I brought the table to the Middletown, NY store, where the manager had not returned a call post my previous visit to the store. The manager admitted the table was damaged, and when I asked for compensation, he stated the scratch was a "difference, not a defect" . He refused to take a percentage off of my bill and was very resistant top help me stating "there is nothing I will do for you except exchange the table with the one in the store(also scratched).
Via customer service, i was refunded the delivery charge and sent a $100 gift certificate on my next purchase.
There will be no next purchase. I wanted compensation on my bill, due to my inconvience and loss of work for seven 1/2 days. If I did not love the tables, I would have returned them. I now cover the scratch with a vase. Between the warehouse that was supposed to inspect the tables, and the lack of concern by Seaman's, I would never, ever give them business again.
