Clothes in my dryer were not drying properly, so I wanted to clean the dryer vent.  I used the dryer cleaning kit from Home depot and one of the pieces of the rod got stuck.   So on 02/02/2013 I reached out to Sears to schedule an appointment at around 8:45PM PST. Some guy schedule a appointment to get someone to work on it on02/03/2013(Sunday) between 8AM and 12 Noon PST and estimated amount was around $146.00. On 02/03 no one showed up and when I reached to Sears, I had to leave a message with a answering service.  Finally I got a call at 10:20 AM PST and they indicated they do not do home services and they offered to send someone on 02/04/2013.   I requested them to send someone at 3PM PST.    This guy calls my home at around 11:30 AM, my wife picks up the home and the guy indicates he on his way.  I was happy that they were very prompt and came in early ( I was at work).   My wife puts this service guy on the phone and I informed him the problem (about the stuck rod).  He indicates it would cost lot more and he also indicates that he needs to replace hose that connects the dryer and vent.   I requested what would it cost,  he says he would do everything for $300.00 flat.   I said okay,   I drive home from work to find out that guy ended making a bill for $525.00.   It was was total rip off.   In addition when I checked outside vent opening,  I was able to swipe dirt and lint.  When I asked why so much cost, he says he had to flush the vent with water.   The reason for replacing the hose is that my orignal hose was not fire proof.   Unfortunately,  the original hose was installed by Sears with my Kenmore dryer by sears.   Can anyone help me what recourse do I have.
