Mangement was going to order a new tire be in Thursday, called and was told no one had order the tire. Fred the manager ordered the tire; but when I went to pick up the tire I was told that I had to pay for the tire, because I did not purchase road hazard insurance they could not replace the tire. Therefor I feel Sears is in the insurance business instead of tire, after one of use from the store to my home I shouldn't need insurance for a replace.
I was told by Fred since I was rude he wash his hands.

Search TipsAs far as them asking you for a payment, I'm just assuming the associate may have been new. It is per company policy to obtain payment before ordering a tire. Since this was a warranty issue, they shouldn't need to do this unless the tire was very old and you were not getting a complete credit.
Sears road hazzard coverage is nice to have. It covers you if you have damage to the tire, such as a bubble from a belt seperation that is generally cause from impact to the tire. It also covers flat repairs, and covers you if the tire is beyond repair. Unless you are very experienced in this field, it is easy for someone to assume your problem was caused by an impact, which would be covered under the RH coverage. It isn't very common that this type of problem is a defect. I've been in this industry for years and I have only seen this type of defect once.
