We are all consumers and only find out about the problems with appliances either by purchasing and/or read some feedbacks from other users, people. Thanks to rippoff report that bring us these information. I wasn't aware of this website until I had a problem with my kenmore washer machine. I found out about it while searching for solutions.
Today, I want to bring it to your attention that if you are planing to purchase a kenmore appliance from sears, please think twice or more. I would suggest not even to think about it. Quality of these products are very bad, they don't last for long. Also watch out for liars/salespeople that always bend the truth. They claim that washer basket/tub would never get rusty and normally it wouldn't need a service in the life of the machine, some other parts would go bad before the basket/tub (where laundry washed in).
Double coated porcelain would never get rusty.... Guess what? my kenmore washer basket got rusted out on the inside of it after 1.5 years of normal usage. I contacted sears service, nobody cared to listen. Their only concern was to sell me extended warranty over and over again, after spending hours over the phone with service department. They even hung up the phone on me a few times. They messed up the scheduled visit a few times, technician wasn't even aware of the scheduled appointment, What a customer service.
After 2 months, they made an offer, to help me partially with the repair fee and they requested a deposit to be refunded after the repair but their service was so bad that I ended up cancelling it for good and I ended up involving better business bureau of ILLINOIS to get my deposit back (over $300 dollars). after 2.5 months, I collected my deposit back but they never fixed my machine. I will never buy a KENMORE BRANDED APPLIANCE and will stay away from sears dept stores.
Friendly advise: Don't buy Kenmore aplliances from sears. They have lemon, defective products and THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. Customer satisfaction slogan doesn't mean anything because nobody cares for. Plus never give a deposit for any product or service, as soon as they collect, you have to run after them for long time to resolve the issue. I'm not sure if any of their products good, had problems with their vacuum cleaners and some other daily used items. That's why they want to sell you extended warranty so they won't have any problems with you later.
I hope my bad experience with sears would be some useful information when all readers make decisions on your purchasing from sears. Bad business.
