I called Sears on Monday August 2, 2004 to have a dishwasher and a dryer repaired that I had purchased from them. The dishwasher is six months old and the dryer is 2-1/2 years old. The soonest appointment that I could get was Friday, August 6th. This in itself seems a little ridiculous, especially when you have five children you are feeding. I was given a time of 8-12 for them to come.

At 12:30 I had to leave for an appointment and called to find out what happened to the technician. I was told he came by and no one was home. There were seven people home at the time. The story then changed to he called and no one answered the telephone. Maybe even though clients have to sit around and wait for technicians they still have to work for a living.

No message was left so there was no where to call anyone back. When we tried to get them to come back out they were to busy and could squeeze us in on Monday but it could be anytime between 8 - 5 and because they were doing us a favor they would not be any more specific. I asked to speak to a manager, who was in a meeting and then the managers manager, who was also in a meeting. Then I asked When the meeting would be over and was told they were both on vacation. This was Dana, employee number 943142. She, besides being a pathalogical liar is one of the nastiest people that I have ever met.

I sat home all day on Monday August 9th again to wait for my Sears Service technician. I called at 4:30 and was told that he was in a car accident and had to go fill out paperwork in the morning and was just now getting to his morning appointments and then was going to do his afternoon appointments and I was last on the list. Guess I could not be called and told that I did not have to take the day off work again. When the service guy got here he told me he would have to reschedule because he did not have the parts and they would not be here until Wednesday. We have again rescheduled for Thursday afternoon. Anther day I have to take off work. So, two full days off work for me and nine days later possibly my warranty work on my dishwasher will be fixed.
