I bought a Sears Kenmore front loader washer model 417.44092500 for $700 two years ago. It fails to go into the final spin. I checked around and it seemed like it was a timer so I ordered one on-line from Sears PartsDirect. Sears charged my credit card for $153.78. I then found out that this was under warranty so I tried to cancel the parts order and schedule repair. Sears said they could not cancel the order but I could send it back after I received it. I then checked the order two days later and discovered it is back ordered with no estimated delivery date.

The repair person was suppose to come and fix my machine on Saturday between 8am and 5pm. I waited all day as he never showed up. When I called Sears service, they told me he had called in sick and they forgot to notify me. Then they rescheduled me for Tuesday again between 8am and 5pm. I was placed 6th on the list. When I asked why I was not 1st as I had already waited 9 hours, I was told it's just Sears policy.

I tried to contact Customer Service, which was like musical chairs, and tied me up for another 4 hours.
So now I'm stuck with a broken washer which will take another 3 weeks or more to fixed as they don't have the parts, a charge on my credit card for a part I can't get, and a Customer Service person that must also do the office cleaning full time.

I wouldn't buy a bar of soap from these idiots again.

Sears charged for shipping after order was canceled

Now Sears has issued me a credit for my order but did not refund the shipping charges. This really doesn't make any sense as they canceled the order and never shipped the part.

How does a company charge for something they never did? I guess Sears wants to make sure that you never will want to do business with them again. I know I never will. They have a lot of nerve stealing a lousy $15.99 from a consumer. How cheap can you get??

That's exactly why I cut up my sears(s-mart) card of 29 years, canceled FOUR MA's and stopped doing business with sears a couple of years ago. Had FOUR appointments to repair the garage door opener. The first time, as he leaves, he says "He thinks he fixed it". He didn't. The second time, he didn't have the right part. The third time, he couldn't make it cause he's "sick". The fourth time, he's a no show. After that I called and canceled all four MA's. They ended up sending the part to the house anyway and tried to send a tech out to the house even after I'd canceled the MA's. I put the part in myself. End of story. I've spent over $10,000 at other places that I would have spent at sears.
