My son was an inmate and the only way to get calls from him was through securutech. I set up the account on line. For two days I never recieved and calls. After calling the customer service line and being on hold for at least 30 minutes I was told that something happened when setting up the account and they would have to create a new account. They put me on hold and appearantly created a new account. Another 24 hours went by and still no calls. Went on line and it siad the account was not open. Called customer service again, and put on hold for a very long time. It's seems you have to wait 24 hours for the account to be active. Each calls was $2.94 but watch out..there are other fees. I added another number which was out of AZ so my son could speak to his gfriend. Two days later the account was supsended sayingI was negative $100.00. I was shocked. After spending more time on hold I was told that the calls to AZ were $24.00 a call!! So we paid that and stopped using that number. After all was said and done we ended up 4 different account numbers from screw ups. About two weeks ago I got bill saying I owe $49.00. I looked on line and guess what? It a charge from one of the old account numbers that securustech got rid of after creating a new account. They told me not to worry....the old accounts show up but are not active!!! I can not understand why my only choice is this one company that charges an arm and leg for inmates to call loved ones. They do not disclose all the charges that will appear on your account. I am in the wrong business!!!!!
