Services Unlimited Plus cashed check after i cancelled, don't answer phone, $190 Glendale Arizona

A young man approached me on my college campus and offered to sell me some magazines. I told him that i didn't have any money, but he assured me that i could go right in and cancel it. i am a very gullible person, and i have a problem with trusting too many people. anyways, right after i put my name down, he took the check and ran off...without my phone number or address...just my name and check. he did make the mistake of giving me extra receipts, so i had the phone number.

i relized that i might have gotten scammed, so i called the company right away. they told me that i could send in the back pages of the recepits, so i did. they also told me that my check wouldn't be cashed at all. so, while i did have somewhat of a nervous feeling, i wasn't so bad.

then, about 2 weeks later, i tried to use my debit card and it wouldn't approve it. i called the bank and learned that i had just had $190 taken out. (way more than 4 subscriptions would cost).

i immediately called the company and they told me that i couldn't get my money back until the guy who sold them to me sent in his receipts. he was able to cash the check in waco. sounds a little shady to me. they told me that they had received my cancellation notice and i needed to send in a copy of the front and back of my check.

that was three months ago and i still haven't heard from them. i just tried to call and let the phone ring for 5 minutes...

until it automatically hung up on me. $190 is a lot for a college student and, to say the least, i am really pissed.
