I have been receiving these catalogs in the mail at least 1 a week. So against my better judgment, I sent for a rather expensive item about 399.00. When I receive the box it is really light weight, like it had a plastic shell inside and no guts. The picture of the dvd burner made the item look to be of decent size, but the box it came in was HUGE. I thought this isn't right, so without even opening it, I sent it back to them. I then get a bill for 53.84. I told them I never opened it, I sent it back as was. They then say well you have to pay for all the shipping anyhow and here are some finance charges and a late fee. Now the bill is for $70.14. If they can't sell you their piece of junk, they are going to get you for the OVER INFLATED SHIPPING COSTS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS company.

Ok, obviously you did go against 'better judgment' by not reading any of the information in the catalog and by not opening the box.

Of course they are not going to credit back the shipping and processing if you didn't bother to check the box and make sure it was in fact the wrong item... as stated online and in the catalog returns and shipping/processing are the consumer's responsibility.    It's easy to find if you LOOK.  (Obviously you didn't)

If you had opened and saw it was the wrong item and returned it they would have sent out a pre-paid label and credited back the shipping and processing.  Same if the item was broken, defective, damaged and so forth.

Also, does Walmart or any of those stores pay for your gas to return items?   This is like the shipping and processing.

If you look in the catalog and online they also have a chart of the shipping and processing charges... and also there is a notation by any 'heavyweight' items with a letter to let you know if there is an additional charge to the item for weight or size.   If you had bothered to look on the back/inside of your order form, or on the s/p page online you would have seen what they charge for shipping.

With items USUALLY they will put the dimensions in the catalog or online... or you could have been smart and asked any customer service or order taking representative about the size of the item... they do have information in their systems to give more information than the catalog and website gives.

Honestly, all of this is your fault for not reading into any information.   It's all there in black and white.  Blaming a company for your lack of sense is wrong.
