We are a co-op of former employees who left after several months of working for Sharewell Group, Inc. While there, we witnessed Sharewell collect payments, even demand payments for clients who had not received any services.
As a design firm selling search engine optimization, they failed to hire a dedicated link developer, full time account manager, pay-per-click strategist, content writer or web analytics expert. Instead, they had one guy they beat up on for a year and his one employee who only specialized in page-level search engine optimization.
They had 3 new clients in March, none of which they provided services to. Then they actually actually forced the SEO specialist out the door and demanded the SEO department director to bring in $25k in sales before they would give him any support - essentially pushing him to quit as well.
Sharewell does not have in-house SEO specialists, only a hand full of designers and an outsourced team of developers in Manila. Do not hire this company for search engine marketing or search engine optimization. Once they have your money, you may never hear from them again (unless you miss a payment).

If they paid you, you should consider yourself VERY lucky. Trust me when I say that customers were not the only victims of Gene and Mike Schere. Their employees suffered an even worse fate when the paychecks started bouncing. People who worked for them lost their homes and had their lives destroyed, and Gene and Mike did not care about it at all.
To date, they have never offered to repay back salaries to the people who remained loyal, believed their lies, and continued to do quality work, even when their paychecks bounced time and time again.
It is also to find just how many shell companies that Mike and Gene are attached to, and several off-shore accounts where they funnel their money to.
These men are nothing more than pathetic, sociopaths that care for nobody but themselves. They will tell any lie or come up with any scam to take money, then hide it away. I know on my own hearth that they sleep very well at night in their million+ dollar houses in Hidden Hills and Bell Canyon, even fully knowing how much money they still owe employees.
Anyone who does business with these guys are either stupid, or just as crooked as they are, and in the time I worked for them, I saw both cases.
If you have any ounce of personal integrity, you would stay as far away from these people as possible.
Also beware of anyone who all of a sudden changes their opinion of Mike and Gene because obviously they are now wrapped up in one of their schemes, and want to give them good press.
I imagine this is the case with the update and "sweet endorsement" that I am replying to.

I, Steve Wiideman, wrote the ripoffreport from Aquadots dated April 25, 2008. Since that time, I have resolved any and all issues with Sharewell Group, Inc., Pioneer Pacific List Marketing, Inc., Gene Scher, Mike Scher, Jeff Mirkin, and Brian Williams. I no longer support my April 25, 2008 statement to the ripoffreport and would remove it if the ripoffreport would let me.
