My husband and I contracted with Shawn Beuscher and Imagine Studios to video and photograph our wedding almost 2 1/2 years ago. Our package was over $6,000 and to this day we have not received any video or photographs of our most memorable day. We have attempted to reach out to Shawn and when or if he decides to respond we only get excuses as to why its taken so long with no work completed. At our 2 year mark he stated he hadn't even began to work on our edited video.

One can imagine how aggonizing it has been to spend our first years of marriage contemplating legal action just to have our wedding memories. Recently Shawn Beuscher was featured on our local FOX "Call to Action" news. Our local news channel stepped in on behalf of another couple (victims) to obtain their wedding memories.

Here is an abbreviated copy of this news report:

"It is one of the most important days of your life. For their wedding, every bride wants perfect pictures to capture the memories of that special day.Newlyweds wait two and a half years to see wedding video

Kansas City has many seasoned wedding photographers.  But Call For Action hears the horror stories when a photographer fails to fulfill their end of the bargain.  In those complaints, newlyweds often are

forced to wait months, even years for wedding pictures or video.

Addie Rodell loves to flip through her wedding album.  She married her husband Kirk in July, 2009.  But now, two and a half years later, Rodell is forced to wait to see video of her wedding.  The photographer

she hired has yet to deliver.We put our trust in him and we felt really deceived,Addie Rodell said.

The Rodells contacted Call For Action several months ago. They hired Imagine Studios, a husband-wife photography team, to photograph and videotape their wedding. They paid $5,000 for the services.

The couple got their still photos. It took a year and a half after they walked down the aisle to get them.  They said they call to find out their video is not done.When I called and I asked, are you about done with my video, he said, you know, we havent even started on it.  I knew something was not

right, Addie Rodell said. Its very disappointing  He just doesnt reach out, Kirk Rodell added.

Call For Action contacted the Rodells wedding videographer, Shawn Beuscher.  He said the business, Imagine Studios, is now closed.  Beuscher said he and his wife have divorced.   He agreed to hand over the raw, unedited video to the Rodells.  They agreed and signed a document releasing Beuscher from all prior contractual agreements. We were just so excited to even have it in our hands.  We didnt really expect to even see him again, said Addie Rodell. After two and a half years of waiting for their wedding video, the couple just wants to see their special day then move on with their

Update on my original post.

Unfortunately my wife and I had to resort to legal counsel. Once Shawn was contacted by our lawyer he became very motivated to complete our video. Unbeknownst to me Shawn had a few personal challenges that stalled the completion of our wedding video. I do believe that Shawn has wanted to do the right thing all along. As of this posting, our video is completed and waiting our review. Shawn guaranteed our lawyer that we would be very impressed and we do hope so!! I'll keep everyone posted on the quality of the work. If our video looks anything like the work he's done in the past then I'm sure we'll be more than happy.

I had nothing but problems with this company back in 2006. First the messed up one of the. Ost important pictures we specially stopped to take. The picture is grainy when blown up past an 8x10. Second it took Forever to get our photographs, even though we had paid in full month prior. I'm glad to see others finally realize this company is not worth it

Also, Shawn, I find this funny " Since Imagine Studios closed it's doors, I am not obligated to provide anything to my past clients". Umm...yes you do have to provide something g to past clients ...WHAT THEY PAID YOU FOR. If I was those people above, I would take you to a small claims court in an instant.

The truth regarding Imagine Studios

This so called "investigated story" done by "professional journalists" is so inaccurate, it's disgusting. It's practices like this why I left professional television broadcast journalism for good back in 1998 and started Imagine Studios. Up until Imagine Studios closed, we were awarded many awards for "The Best of" wedding professionals in our market from many magazines and television polls. We were a highly reputable company that was highly sought out with high referrals until it all came to a sudden end when the business unfortunately closed it's dorrs unexpectedly over night. First off, what happened in this story is only 10% of what happened regarding the Rodells and as far as Mr. Brady's "story" below, he is on the verge of being sued for slander, harassment, and public threats of bodily harm. The facts are, Imagine Studios suddenly closed it's doors for business due to the abrupt hospitalization of photographer and Imagine Studios partner and wife, Jennifer Beuscher. She was admitted into the hospital at 3 am on the morning of Mr. Brady's wedding. Myself and my 2nd video cameraman, who was also a very talented professional wedding photographer, went and covered the wedding in it's entirety. ALL of Imagine Studios' past clients were given the CHOICE of actions after being notified of the business closing it's doors. ALL clients at the time decided to do what I had suggested and asked of them which was to allow me the time to fulfill what I had promised them knowing that it was going to take quite a bit of time due to the surrounding circumstances. I have NEVER avoided ANY of my clients as they have ALWAYS had direct communication with me and ALL emails and phone calls were answered within 24-48 hours. Since Imagine Studios closed it's doors, I am not obligated to provide anything to my past clients. But that is not my character and and I have been honoring those commitments ever since. Yes, it's been a VERY slow process due to MANY factors, but work continues to be performed and finished product is delivered. Mr. Brady is very upset that his wedding is the last on the list to be edited and feels he should be moved in front of the other clients who have continued to support me through this terribly rough time as they patiently wait for their wedding videos to be produced. Mr. Brady, you can continue with your smear campaign on the internet with every complaint list available and tell your highly inaccurate story on how you were wronged and cheated, but my friend... you will wait in line like everyone else and will not move in front of ANYONE. Period!
