Bought a horse from Mr Deach who promised it was safe and well broke and healthy.
Horse not safe, in fact most dangerous horse I have ever been exposed to.  Broken ribs and bruised tailbone and months of rehab later I'm finally able to try to ride again.
Took my money happily to help me "learn how to ride horse"
Once horse showed true colors, they wouldn't return my calls.
Also lied about health of animal, had laryngeal disease and would not supply HYPP test papers they promised were negative prior to buying.  I've submitted my own test and am waiting for results.
DO NOT take their word for anything and if you MUST buy a horse from them, only do so on trial period.
Better yet, save your money and avoid injury to yourself and find a horse elsewhere.
After I bought this horse, EVERYONE I told who I bought this horse from told me he was a crook.
His girlfriend seems nice, but everything is listed under her name, Leigh Mathena.  She must know, so beware her also.

How Is This Possible?

AUTHOR: Leigh - (USA)

Oddly, I happened across this ad for A Noble Conclusion, this morning..

________________________________________

His registered name is A NOBLE CONCLUSION. We call him Noble. A beautiful Chestnut Overo. He stands 16.1 hands tall and weighs approximately 1300 lbs. He is very well bred. Double registered APHA and Pinto Horse Association of America. He has earned 3 points in Halter in Paint Horse Association. In the Pinto Horse Association - All Amateur he has earned 54 Western Showmanship - 9 Trail - 1 Novice Trail - 88 Novice Showmanship - 28 Novice English Pleasure - 24 Novice English Equitation - 3 Hunter under Saddle - 5 Halter - 67 English Showmanship - 32 English Pleasure - 24 English Equitation - 1 Discipline Rail English . His disposition is very gentle and people friendly. He is a joy to handle on the ground and very quiet and disciplined to ride. Rides Western and English and knows Showmanship - Does it all correct. Nice walk, collected jog, slow lope, but extends beautifully for the Hunter too. Sidepasses, opens gates, rides outside on trails, a true all-around horse. Little kids can ride him. Good to clip, shoe, saddle, bridle, mount, groom, catch etc... No vices No buck, rear or kick. A true gentlemen. No health or soundness issues. Current on vaccinations, worming and shoes. Please feel free to come ride and spend time with him.

Melanie Caviness (Wilderness Veterinary Clinic) has either sold this horse, therefore apparently misrepresenting him, or is advertising the horse for sale. Either way this ad description does not seem to fit with her above complaints. This ad more agrees with my opinion of the horse. I am at least glad to see he did not end up in a canner's pen as was suggested he'd be.

False represation??? i think not!

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States of America)

While noble was  boarded my horse was at the same location... Noble is the kindest most loving horse there is he was my backup horse for ponying my horse around... Noble could be left in a stall for days and i would be bring him out  saddle ride him WITH NO PROBELMS! not a single issue he knew every command i was asking him not once did he ever act out of place or buck etc... and me being a advanced beginner/ intermeditate rider.. Expically being fed 2x a day with Grain and not getting out to much ( Per the Boarding agreement between then owners and owners of boarding facility) Common sense lady when u buy a horse u see what u get simple as that... They did not misrepresnt this horse.. i would take him trail riding with children for christ sakes...He was the "Go" to horse for when people came over and wanted to ride.  i took lessons on this horse for weeks and he was the most patient and willing horse i had ever been around he taught me so much.. when u buy a horse if u have any common sense u would  have a vet check..... which i know for a fact that there was nothing wrong with the horse... Its not always the horses fault maybe its the rider... IF this horse " so called" hurt you it was probly because u poked and prodded at this horse for so long he got tired of your ingnorance... he is a very well trained horse and smart...  HE IS FANTASTIC with children expically while supervised like any child should be. So as far as saying this couple misrepresented him U ARE WRONG.... im assuming you signed a contract stateing you bought the horse as is(if you were smart enough to do that) as any owner would sell one  with a contract Dont be blaming someone else for your lack horse expirence!!!!!

two sides of a story

AUTHOR: Sydney - (United States of America)

Sherm represented the horse.  I wrote the check to Leigh.
I am an honest and trusting person, and even when my vet and horseshoer warned me of Mr. Deach's negative reputation, I chose to try to make things work with the horse, as I had already purchased the horse, Leigh had cashed the check, and I really wanted to trust these people.
The horse had problems from the day he arrived at my house.  When I contacted the seller, Leigh, she referred me to Sherm.
They had multiple opportunities to offer to take the horse back.
Instead I was offered lessons, training and told to buy a new saddle.  All adding to the folly and expense.  As long as I was willing to write checks, this team was friendly and would return my calls.
Once I called after being seriously injured they NEVER returned my calls or e mails.  Including the request to produce the paperwork regarding the HYPP test results Leigh had promised were done prior to my purchasing the horse.
This horse was represented as safe for myself and daughter.  Luckily for all involved, he did not injure my daughter.
The horse was also found to have the same problems by two professional horse trainers, neither of whom have any negative reviews anywhere.
Did I make mistakes, yes, that is why I would recommed a trial if you buy a horse from this team.  Have the horse vetted and if you aren't an experienced horse person, have a trainer try out the horse BEFORE you write a check.  I would have returned him in the first week, because he was a COMPLETELY different horse at my house.
I even asked them to help me sell the horse soon after buying him, and they refused.
They even told me the picture listed in their rebuttal wasn't available for me to use in the ad, Leigh said she had deleted it, yet amazingly, here it is.
No matter, he was dangerous and I was not able to sell him.
Believe whatever side you like, I'm just putting my experience out there.  A good lesson for anyone buying a horse from anyone.

False Claims!!

AUTHOR: Leigh - (USA)

Melanie, you did not buy this horse from me. A Noble Conclusion was owned by Leigh Mathena. I rode this horse to show to you, you also rode this horse prior to buying. You had the horse vet checked, scoped and he was given a clean bill of health. In the year I was around this horse before you purchased him, he never showed aggression or any dangerous behavior at all. When I came to your place at your request, the horse never showed the things you described. I came to help you every time you asked and only charged you gas $$. You rode the horse after I had him back for two weeks, he never showed the behavior you described. You rode him then, also. You took him somewhere else at that time and I have not heard from you since. In my opinion, this horse was not misrepresented. I knew the horse with his prior owner and cared for him for a year. He was dependable, pleasant and easy to get along with.

You could have at anytime resold the horse. I would have been happy to represent him again. You never asked me. At this point, I feel very bad for both you and the horse.

Melanie, you told me you bought three other horses prior to Noble and returned them because you couldn't ride them. Maybe it might not be the horses. You talked with his previous owner, you checked on his performance records and you called me and said "it has to be me, he's a proven show horse". I think you were right! The horse always loses. Neither Leigh Mathena or myself misled you, lied to you or were dishonest with you in any way.  You on the other hand have not been truthful and have slandered people that don't deserve it.

Whose At Fault?

AUTHOR: Leigh - (USA)

This horse, APHA A Noble Conclusion, was purchased in July 2010 from me, Leigh Mathena (Longshadow). Sherman Deach rode and showed the horse to the purchaser. Neither I nor Mr. Deach misrepresented this horse. I have a show record for Noble verifing 300 + points in several disciplines... He was in excellent physical condition at the time of sale and I have pictures available to anyone interested. I have a sale contract signed by this buyer stating the terms of the purchase and the name of the veteranarian that did the preceeding health exam. As to the possibility that this horse was HYPP positive, I related the only information I had, that being both his sire and dam were N/N, making it not a possibility. I supplied the name of the previous owner and suggested she contact her if she did not believe the information to be truthful.

The horse rode perfectly, during the trial rides in my arena for this person. He is a seasoned, well disciplined, beautifully trained, now 10 year old gelding. I and Sherman Deach received several calls after the transfer to her home concerning Noble's behavior. The two were not agreeing on anything. Mr. Deach made several trips to her home, over an hour drive, to help her. She couldn't get him out the drive, he took him for a great ride.. can't fix whats not broken. She sent the horse back for two weeks to "tune up". He was perfect, every ride...not broken. I sent videos to her of him riding just to stay in touch. Never did she come out herself.  I am truely sorry she could not ride the horse, perhaps she should have sold him to someone whose abilities were compatible to the horse.

I very much liked and enjoyed this person. I regret her experience with this horse has been difficult and hurtful. It is NOT the horse's fault. As for me, I don't know why I become the one responsible... I guess for allowing her to purchase the horse. I certainly should have known better.

Lastly, since she chose to list my website, I invite all to visit. Read my reviews, especially the one dated 7/30/10. I stand by my representation of the horse. What happened to Noble since, I can only wonder. He was exceptional.
