Shop NBC Rebate Ripoff Naperville Illinois

On January 20,2009 I ordered a new SonyBravia HDTV and DVD recorder from SHOPNBC. The on-air host used a $100 rebate as an incentive to order this television. I thought it was a good deal and ordered the items. I filled out the proper forms and sent them off to WORLDWIDE REBATES, which is the company listed on the paper work I downloaded from the ShopNBC. This company handles the rebates for SHOPNBC. I thought Shopnbc would handel the paperwork.

WORLDWIDE REBATES is claiming I sent in the wrong label. There was only one label on the entire packagingfor the HDTV that had the number they said was required to get your rebate and that's the one I sent in along with a copy of the packing slip and the required form.

So, I contacted SHOPNBC which was a brush off. Can't believe a big company like that treats ther customers this way. They responded with apologies for the 'confusion surrounding my rebate', but were not able to provide assistance because 'SHOPNBC was not offering this rebate'!! Lot of good they are.

Im mad as hell and feel I've been scammed! One of these companies needs to do the right thing! I am shocked that SHOPNBC is partner in something like this. Think twice before falling for any of theses scams. I deserve my $100 rebate.
