Shopper's Advantage membership TLG Netmarket, Trilegiant, Cendant Marketing Group, TLG/Affinion, Affinion Group Trilegiant used some unlawful means of acquiring my bank account # in order to make a fraudulent charge. Stamford , Connecticut

Nowadays we must be extremely cautious when using our debit/credit cards to make purchases via the internet,  or over the phone.  It would seem that my TLG/Cendant/Affinion nightmares began some 15 years ago, when I created an AOL account to begin surfing the web.  I was offered by a telemarketer some obscure services that I knew I would never make use of, so I promptly declined them.  Even though I had declined these "services" to my amazement, I was still being charged for them on a monthly basis.  I have in fact made several attempts at cancelling these coat-tail memberships/services.  At each attempt I was given a cancellation confirmation number, and assured that I would never incur additional charges from this company or any of its affiliates, but these reassurances turned out to be lies.  I have changed credit/debit cards multiple times, and I have even closed the infected bank account in the hopes that opening up a new bank account would cleanse my finances of this fraudulent niusance.  To no avail.  This company uses some underhanded, illegal means to obtain your actual bank account #. Not your card #, but your actual account # in order to make fraudulent charges.  I believe this for the fact that the only entity that I have ever shared my account # with is my bank! 

 After a few years of believing my TLG (Shopper's Advantage) woes were over with, this last Friday evening my account was hit with a whopping lump sum charge of $129.99 which caused my account to become negative!  Perfectly timed so that I could not take action until the next business day.  I have filed a dispute with my bank in accordance with Federal Regulation E, but it will take them two weeks to three months to resolve. How convenient for the bank, they are able to charge me a $32.50 overdraft fee on a daily basis until my next paycheck comes through. I've become paranoid, I'm actually starting to believe that my bank is incahoots with this thieving company, and that my bank actually gave them the use of my account #.  What a mess.
