Shopping Essentials continue to debit my account. They tell me I have to call to cancel each transaction! Internet

My account was debited for $14.99 every month since August. I do not know who or what this company is. I called to cancel in August, and was told that no further debits would be made to my account.

I called again today - they debit on the First of each month - and was told that the amount would be credited back to my account within two business days.

When I asked why my earlier request was ignored, I was told by a young woman that I have to call back to cancel each transaction.

She couldn't wait to get me off the phone, and wouldn't give me any information about who they were, why my account was debited, etc.

I have written to my bank to complain and to stop further debits such as these, and I am sending an email to our State Attorney to investigate this. I'm sure I'm not the first one in our State to have been conned like this.

Exasperated!
