Shoreline fence maliciously under estimates quotes to attain business, fails to provide service in a timely manner, and provides very shotty work.

1. He quoted a price, took my deposit money, then increased the price from $3397 to over $5,000.

2. He failed to provide installation in a timely manner.

3.The fence was installed incorrectly.

4. I have requested that Mr. Pope fix the fence. He first claimed he was going to look at the problem and now just refuses to respond to my emails.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

completed the job

AUTHOR: Shoreline Fence - (United States of America)

This job was originally quoted site unseen based on this customer's layout.  Changes were made to the layout due to on-site construction and customer was provided all quotes upfront.  This customer agreed to the changes and signed the contract.  The fence was installed as specified on the contract so that the customer's rental season would not be interrupted.  The completion date was before March 8, 2012.  Upon completion, the job was inspected by the site supervisor and the final payment was made the following day.

Customer then contacted Shoreline Fence on August 21, 2012 due to some repair issues with the fence.  Shoreline Fence warranties all of their workmanship.  Shoreline offered to come back out to the site and make the necessary repairs for a slight repair fee.  This customer wanted us to make all repairs at no cost to him by claiming a workmanship error.  Since the fence was now six months old and had gone through an entire rental season, the repairs that were needed were caused by wear and tear by the customer's renters throughout the summer.

We have tried to help resolve this customer's problems.  We would like to ask him to contact us through our website for a final resolution.

Why Did You Pay Any Money Up Front

AUTHOR: Dave - (United States of America)

If you will search this website for fence, you will see that I, as the owner of a fence company in Georgia, Lawrenceville Fence, will tell every person that if you pay any money up front, you are begging to get ripped off. If a fence company cannot afford to pay for materials and their labor, why would you want to do business with them?

I simply do not understand consumers; they cry about getting ripped off, but why in the World would you give someone a check for a partial payment whom you do not know, for a service. If they are legitimate businessmen, they, like me, not only do not ask for any money up front, I do not accept when when it is offered.

Don't cry now, just count it as a lesson learned.
