Siemens corporation brags about Answers and Somewhere in America, and Siemens solutions. But in actuality, this huge conglomerate and manufacturer of expensive hearing aids is an insulated and deceptively structured cabal that sells expensive medical aids at outrageous prices and with vaunted warranties, but when it comes to living up to their promises, it is like trying to find cockroaches in the dark.
 
I have been trying to get Siemens to honor a two-year warranty on a $5,000 pair of hearing aids, less than six months after purchasing them and it is impossible to sort through the lies, buck passing and deception that these charlatans live by.  Their representatives have given me the names of CEOs that do not exist; vice presidents who make promises and never deliver and sent around the consumer relations loop so many times that I do not remember who said what.  Here is a copy of my latest attempt at reaching someone (In this case in the parent office in Germany).

You have an American subsidiary or division of Siemens that is a corrupt, unethical, incompetent, disingenuous and unconcerned cabal, entrenched in their own smug arrogance.  They lie, evade, "pass the buck" and in general, exemplify the worst in business practices, here and abroad. They respond to no consumer complaint, respect no authority, and are accountable to no one, not even themselves.  Their reputation, even within the industry and among professional dispensers, audiologists and otolaryngologists is laughable at best and totally cynical at worst.  When corporations develop this degree of arrogant disregard for their customers, it is only a short step until they arrive at the same position as the Rupert Murdoch and Bernie Madoff category of thieves.  If the antics of your corporate buffoons in America persist, Siemens does not have far to go before becoming a mirror-image of these other industrial ghouls.
