I worked for 10 months with this company and I can tell you they are thieves, they will not train you,you will not make anywhere near what they claim, and the top management should all be put in jail.
I worked in cottage grove mn. where they have 50 to 60 trucks, and have had that terminal for less than 3 years. In that time they have a driver turn over rate thats got to be 200 percent or higher. Ask yourself if these drivers are earning the kind of money sierra claims why would they leave? Of the drivers who opened that terminal,less than 5 remain. Why?
They hold back 2% of your money for a security fund, but I do not know of one driver who ever saw that money again when he left the company. Last, in 10 months not once was my settlement right, and it was always short never over. And it was not only me but every driver in the terminal.
Any driver who has gotten skrewed by sierra, and I know there are only 100's of you out there, please contact me through the rebuttal key. By our selfs we can not afford to sue them, but get only 40 or 50 of us together and we can put them out of business.

I could not agree more with you i came to the council bluffs IA terminal with my own truck and after 2 months moving cars for them i had recieved a total of $500 and at this point decided to go in another direction as this was not working at all at this point they had deducted over $1000 for damages $1597 for license and lets not forget $1300 / month for there very!! pricy insurance and after about a month of waiting i recieved a letter stating that i OWED them $1800 and that is after keeping the above + about a weeks worth of cars moved ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!! anyone even thinking of go to work with this company please dont if you dont beleive me ask ANYONE WHO HAS WORKED WITH THEM they will tell the same thing SME is great to there clients but terrible to workers

For anyone even thinking of driving for these thieves,beware, the checks to the drivers are bouncing. And anyone who knows business will tell you that is a sure sign of the begining of the end. And if you boys in Cottage Grove think that Allied is there just to help you catch up with the frieght, I have some nice sea side property in Iowa that I will sell you real cheap.

Ive been dispatching here for going on 4 year's. And It was fun at first but they do lie to the driver's and expect the same of me. Lately the bouncing of settlement's to the driver's has got me concerned about the stabilitie of this company. The poor driver's get the shaft every time they turn around on fraudulent claim's. They don't want any of them to get there equipment paid for and when they get with in a year of doing so we are instructed to shove it to em in any size shape or copacity. The knw manager of this Cottage Grove terminal is a freak using Sierra Mountain's office too run his own truck's from on there bill and does nothing to run this terminal. That is his truck's he run's aside of here. What the hell good is he if they had gave me the rein's of this place I could do way better. But FATASS Gary seems to like him as the manager so here he is.
The only decent thing this so called manager hes done is get rid of the fatass in the office Kim. Now if he were smart he would get rid of the NIGGER lover Jenny. If this were my home area where I grew up she would have been run out on a rail.
That's Charleston S.C. If this job paid me my worth's I would'nt be a crane operator at nite at the St.Paul rail yard. Well good luck all you driver's at Sierra with you're future if S.M.E. First you never saw me at cottage grove unless it was last winter when I picked up some used GM for the auction. You can ask your manager if he any has ever met me. He has not because I have not stepped in the place in the last 23 months. Whats your modivation for being a lier. Are you trying to become the head stooge. Watch out for this guy Jim I think he's after your job. You seem to be happy that your taking home 63 percent. And I suppose that the hundreds of drivers that have been cheated by them could all be wrong and that they are a good company, and that the knee's on your pants are worn out from hard work. To Len, move on with your life. It has been a long time since you were denied a job with Sierra Mountain Express and even longer since I had the displeasure of working with you. You say in one sentence that you were just trying to avoid a lawsuit with Sierra Mountain Express. I have never seen nor heard of anyone trying to avoid a lawsuit by trying to gain employment with the very company they have a dispute with. That makes no sense Len. Then in the next sentence you were practically giddy with the fact that other drivers were suing. That makes even less sense. Maybe you should tell them to go work for SME too since it worked out so good for you. I was in the yard loading my truck the day you tried to come back and the statements you make could not be further from the truth. I have listened to all the other drivers banter while I am trying to load my truck. Maybe you guys should go load your trucks instead of chit-chatting all day long. And stop bothering me while I am loading, I have bills to pay and I dont want to listen to your whining for one more second. And by the way Len, you spelled hear, avalanche, heard, and corporate. Even the corporate "stooge" managed to spell everything right with his "limited brain". You can probably tell by my context that I am happy with SME. Thats because they dont mess up on my pay, I dont damage vehicles, and I will take home 63% of my gross this year. To the rest of you, if you are not happy....leave. And quit crying on my shoulder when I am trying to load my truck because the company took out a damage claim on a car you messed up or you sat home the first half of the pay period and havent slept in days because you are trying to make up for it.

However I was happy to hear that you lost a rather large lawsuit filed by one of your drivers, and that another suit has been filed by 18 other drivers. Can you here the thunder of the avalanch of lawsuits heading your way Jimmy? Mine will be next. I also see where there is a motion being herd in our country that would allow corprate officers to be sued directly for what they do to owner operators. Would'nt that be great Bill and Murray?
