I've been a faithful tenant to my unit for 13 months, I paid on time, every check was deposited. My management company recently changed their management in July from ERA to Signature homes and failed to disclose their new changes. I found out about their changes while trying to get a copy of my new lease to send to my school for verification. A house inspection was required and they did so, everything was okay and I was told that the new lease will be sent in about two weeks. It never happened. Then in Novemeber I noticed they never cashed out my check, so I contacted them via email asking what had happened? They replied saying that I made it payable to ERA management and not their new management Signature Homes Island Style and that it can not be processed. I had explained to them that I was not aware of this change and they told me that a letter was sent in July and that I will be assessed a late fee. I wrote back and told them I never received the change and why at any time between July-October your management couldnt contact me and tell me to send my checks payable to Signature Homes instead of ERA and why they cashed out every single check since and waited to tell me in November? When I called to speak with the manager, she claims she never received my voicemail when I left two messages, she hung up on me and wouldn't hear what I had to say, their management team wouldn't let me speak to anyone above her and hung up on me as well. And then after cashing out my check for November I RESENT at their request, they sent me an eviction letter same day they cashed the check out saying they wanted us to vacate in 45 days and the reason for eviction is due to a history of late payments. Well right next to me are copies of 12 months of faithfully paid rental checks which all have been processed through my bank. Do NOT deal with this company they are unprofessional, unreliable and when they feel they're wrong they will make up lies to evict you! Avoid them, very rude, dishonest, unprofessional!
A little side note, contacted Jeffrey Samuels by phone and explained the situation, told me he will get back with me in two days, NEVER DID! Beware of Mari Francis that woman is CRAZY!!
