I received a call today from Jason Higgins with Simmons and smith associates claiming that I owe them $700 dollars for a $500 dollar payday loan from the internet that I had supposedly took out sometime last year. I told them that I did not do such a thing, and for them to provide me proof of this payday loan, he said he could not because it would take 60-90 days to get the original documents. I said well how come I never received a letter, phone call or email? he said I don't know why, I said because no such loan exist. He then got upset and said that he had all my information and told me my checking account information, address, work information social security number and the he we would call the police and have the local sheriff come to my house to arrest me. I said that does not make any sense and that I would not give him anything and that his company is a scam and that he should be ashamed of himself taking such a pitiful job scamming people. They got my information because sometime early this year I applied for a payday loan over the internet and I never heard anything back from anyone and they got my information from the application and are trying to collect money from people by using this information against them. Do not give them anything, notify your bank Immediately, don't sent them any information, they are fraudulent. And dont let them scam you, they are calling from florida, and that state is like the capital for scammers.
