Boy where we fooled!!! These pan stuck to everything we cooked. They offered a set of cookware at a monthly payment. Not stating any additional finance charges. Just a flat monthly charge. When we recieved our first bill, there was a finance charge of .18% HIDDEN. We returned these items the next day. They refused the cookware & are now threating that this was a signed contract & will affect our credit if we don't pay. I didn't see a contract of a finance charge of 18%. We could of financed a car!!! We were dooped!!!

Simplicity Gourmet Scam
AUTHOR: Katie - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, May 27, 2008
POSTED: Tuesday, May 27, 2008I spoke with Anthony extensively regarding this issue on a couple different occassions, the interest is not hidden. It is printed in a large box, approximately 1/4 of the page, on the credit application that Anthony signed. I explained to Anthony that at the shows, the interest is given at a monthly rate b/c that is how it is charged. It is calculated on a monthly rate at 1.5% monthly or 1.75% monthly (depending on the state on the chart) on the unpaid balance. Typically, if a customer only pays the minimum payment each month, the loan will be paid off in 36-40 months, not 60.
The contract, that both Anthony and his fiance, Marcia signed, indicating they had read and understood all terms and conditions of their contract, clearly states that after the three day cancelation period, all sales are final. While contractually, we are in no way obligated to, on behalf of Chefmaster: Simplicity Home Products, I offered to give Anthony product in the amount of interest that he paid in over the life of the loan when he has paid the loan off to try to find some resolution to this issue. Anthony declined the offer, however, this offer still stands.
