I worked briefly with Eric Symons & Steve LeFlar. They book entertainment, then not pay them. I have seen the results of 2 court cases, and am aware of many more that have not been prosecuted yet. In those 2 cases, Associated Entertainment Associates (AEC) sued and won.
Symons books the entertainment, usually bands and DJs, and sometimes string trios and quartets, knowing LeFlar won't pay them. He get a commission from LeFlar. LeFlar signs the contracts, collects from the client, then doesn't pay the entertainment. LeFlar uses an alias, Steven McArthur, as people are finding out about him. Unrelated, I've also seen a ton of porn on his desktop computer.
He is also slandering his ex business partner on site like this. He owes his ex partner, and others (entertainers) over $200,000. Do NOT do business with Simply The Best Entertainment, aka STB DJs, aka Star Sounds Productions. It's all the same sleazy company run by the same sleazy 2 people. If you ever see "Steven McArthur", ask to see his I.D.

I had no idea that Steve Leflar was ripping off the artists I booked. I made some money, and was told to "keep quiet" I am really sorry so many people were ripped off by our fraud. Maybe I need to get into another line of work People avoid me. They refuse to do business with me. I am really sorry for my dishonesty !!!

I have a perfect record with my company and this is nothing but slander. Every post is under a different name, and without any accountability to the claims except for siting a small claims case in which I was not even involved, and it had nothing to do with my company.

I am Eric Symons, and I founded Simply the Best Entertainment in 2010.
I am again being stalked and slandered by an idiot in Napa who is such a coward that the posts are done under a different name each time. My attorney advised me not to mention the name of this idiot.
My company has a perfect track record.
I worked both as an agent and musician in the past for a talent agency that had serious issues with paying performers, and I am owed as a musician a very large sum of money.
In founding my own company I have lived by strict rules:
1. I pay deposits to performers upon receipt from clients.
2. I pay the final amount upon receipt from clients.
3. I am very careful not to slander or say ill things about anyone in the business, including the idiot from Napa.
I hope that someday issues between my former employers are resolved. But I will not stand anymore for the childish games you see above, and I am pursuing every legal option available.
I also have a long list of clients and performers who will gladly refer me. My email is eric@simplythebestentertainment.com.

Star Sounds Productions / Simply The Best Entertainment (Steve LeFlar aka Steve McArthur & Eric Symons) secured the services of MANY bands and DJs and never paid them) He also swindled Ron Israel out of $70,000 to "invest" in Star Sounds, only to shut it down, change the name to Simply The Best Entertainment and tell Ron to hit the road.
He also secured the services of Allegra Entertainment to provide expensive lighting for a concert by Chris Botti. LeFlar collected $20,000 and never paid Allegra for doing the work.
He ripped off Thomas Schoenberger for $150,000. Many DJs and live bands have been ripped off by LeFlar & Symons.
LeFlar (so far) has lost 2 court cases for non payment of expensive live bands.
When Star Sounds got exposed, he changed the name to Simply The Best Entertainment and installed his employee, Eric Symons, and "owner" in order to hide his identity. He then went further by creating an alias, "Steve McArthur", for himself.
Do NOT do business with Simply The Best Entertainment, or any company that Steve LeFlar aka Steve McArthur is involved with.

Steve Leflar and Eric Symons have a 5 year business association. Eric worked for Star Sounds productions for 5 years and named his company after Simply the Best, a band Steve Leflar had in the 1980's

I do not know a Mary in Elk Grove, and have never worked with someone named Mary for any of my past employers, and this poster shows no proof of any wrong-doing from my business. She does quote a law suit a former employer had with my good friend and colleague, Gig Xifaras of Associated Entertainment of Burlingame, CA. He is more than happy to give me the best of references for Simply The Best Entertainment, as we have worked together closely on numerous projects. I was never part of that law suit.
I think that this is clearly a case of cybor-stalking, and the poster is probably a competitor that wants my market share, and this is not the way to gain customers. Furthermore, any artist I have booked during the past two years has been paid promptly and most of the time pre-paid by me.
I am also a performing artist, and I have suffered from non-payment from past booking agencies to the amount of over $18,000, which at this point it looks like I will never see this money. This is why I am extremely upset over this post as in forming my own business; I never touch money for artists, period.
I even pay deposits to artists, which is rare for a booking company.
Mary needs to provide solid proof before defaming an honest business, and quit the slander!
