Ordered Singer Lazer Vacuum in June, 2005. along with their promo of a super steamer. I immediately started to have funds withdrawn from my banking account before I ever received any merchandise.

After substantial withdrawals from my account and still no merchandise, I called the company. this is 8+ weeks after I placed the order.

I called the 800 number listed on my bank account on August 15, 2005 at 12:15 Ohio time. and actually spoke with a representative named Elaine, she informed me they were overwhelmed with orders and that my order was to be sent September 10, 2005 or I could cancel the order at this time.

I chose to cancel the order and she assured me the total funds withdrawn. $393.70 would be returned to my account within 2 business days.

To this date, Sept. 28, 2005 I have never had anything credited back to my account. nor have I received any merchandise.

I have tried to call several times. 9/26/05 9:00 a.m. + 3:00 p.m. only to get a machine telling me they were closed.

I tried again 9/27/05 at 4:30 p.m. once again to be told they were closed I tried again today,9/28/05 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The number I called 800-711-8357 was a recorded message that told me to call customer care at 800-716-8667..once again I got a recorded message that told me if I needed further assistance to contact them by e-mail at customercare@singerlazer.com

I will be doing this as soon I file this complaint. but from what I see I will be getting no response.

I intend to contact the better business bureau of Ohio, the attorney generals office and our local TV station that tends to have success in helping consumers when they have been ripped off.

I also will be contacting my bank tomarrow with the information that I have received from this site. Thank you for your assistance.

If I get any kind of response or satisfaction, I will post an update.

After I posted my original complaint, I contacted our Ohio Attorney General and the FTC. To date, I am pleased to announce that the Singer Laser Company did return my monies. Its a good day!!!

Received rebuttal from a SingerLazer Vacuum Employee, Camille on 9/29/05...she stated the information I was given was inaccurate that a refund takes 14 - 21 days to process after the request is received...I requested a refund 8/15/05...I believe the 14 -21 day time line has passed...but now she says my refund is still being processed and I should allow ANOTHER 1 -2 more weeks... I have already patiently waited 45 days already...
