*** No, not my TV (or in this case my car stereo...) If my cable receicver box broke, (or sat. radio receiver) I would call the cable company (or sat. radio provider).***
"As for the customer who canceled the service though, if you canceled the service before the 6 month term was up, you should have gotten a prorated refund, as thats how it works, UNLESS you waited for the 6 month term to end without reporting some reception issues. we can't read minds, we don't know when your receiver isn't working."
***I paid for a 6 month subscription, plus the activation fee, and had everything turned off one week after activation.***

Same as buying from Wal-Mart.....you buy a Sony TV from wal-mart, TV doesn't work, you take it back to Wal-Mart and get a refund.
Same thing here...Buy from Sirius, it breaks, you send it back except with Sirius they will cliam something was missing out of your package or it was damaged and not their fault...etc etc. and will do thier best to NOT refund you.
Heather, Maybe you are the needle in the haystack of CSR's for Sirius and I thank you being helpful, but look at all of the complaints here, everybody here can't be wrong.

In regard to the cable analogy...

Look in the handbook for your receiver, what support number do they give you? Sirius, not the manufacturer. If I bought the receiver from Sirius.com, would I still have to go to the manufacturer?
If the Bose factory stereo in your new car quits working, who do you go to? Bose? No. The automobile maker.
In regard to the online radio, I know how to login, and I know the login credentials I used when creating my account. They don't work. A call to Sirius shows that they have no record of my account...Funny how my money just up and disappeared.
I understand how you are all Sirius supporters, my wife has one in her car that works fine. My point is that their customer service is among the worst and that they don't stand by the products, or manufacturers, who they give the right to distribute their service.

Again, Sirius fulfilled their obligations by broadcasting. Your theory of Sirius owing you anything because your reciever failed to function, is akin to complaining about the cable company charging for internet access, or TV reception that you are unable to use when your computer crashes, or TV falls on the floor. The Sirius logo is so people can identify what satellite system you are using. I have a set of valve covers with Pontiac embossed into them. Pontiac did not make them, and is not responsible in any way for their functionality.
Sirius owes you nothing. The reciever manufacturer owes you a working unit.

That is why Sirius isn't refunding your money. They did their part by broadcasting the signal. I know they were broadcasting, because I listen to Sirius all day.
