How Sirius radio stole my familys 2007 Christmas. My wife and I have Sirius radio's in our cars. Her radio subscription was due for renewal on Dec 17th, 2007. So she called and paid with our check card.

We then decided to cancel it because she doesnt use it. So when I got home from work that day, I called and canceled it and asked for a refund. The customer service guy said no problem you will receive the $309.40 within 5 business days.

I received a call on Christmas EVE from Sirius and they said they accidentally charged my check card $600.00 and it would be refunded into my bank account within three business days. I said to myself O.K. no problem things like this happen and Sirius will take care of it.

Well three days went by and I checked my bank account and they had accidentally charged me $928.20. So I called and they said no we didnt charge you $928.20 so I faxed them a copy of my bank statement then they said O.K.
we charged it and your going to have to wait 4 weeks to get that back. I said no that's not going to work you guys made the mistake and I need the $928.20 because I'm 1,300 miles away form home for the holiday and I need that money for fuel and hotels to get home.

I asked for them to western union the money to me and they refused. They said they would refund $309.40 immediately and the remainder would be under investigation. Well they didn't refund anything. I called the next day and asked what was going on?? I need that money to get home!! They said they needed my check card number because they lost it. I asked for a supervisor and they refused to let me speak to a supervisor then they said they found my check card number and my file was under investigation and someone from there customer relations dept would call me within 48 hours to rectify the situation.

No one called back after the 48 hours. So my family and I had to sleep in our car on the way back home from Michigan from our holiday trip. My wife and I called 5 days in a row, "We took a day off for Christmas" and just kept getting the run around.

Excuses like "it's under investigation" "we already refunded it" and finally my wife talked to an honest veteran employee that told us that our file had been sent to the corporate office. They would take 5 weeks to refund our money if they even refund it and that no one had ever made an attempt to refund any amount of money as of Dec 31st 2007.He also said that this happens all the time.

He said the corporate office doesn't care about there customers. Because there are so many customer and they now make money of advertising, and I would be lucky to get a refund from a mistake that they made.

I purchased Sirius when they first came out, back when X.M. radio was very popular and no one wanted Sirius and this is how they treat me!!! Also they never want to allow you to speak to a supervisor for some reason? I have never had anything like this happen to me dealing with a large corporation. I am extremely upset and Sirius should be ashamed of themselves I work very hard for my money and when I put my trust into a company I expect them to respect that.
