Email requests to cancel are rejected. Requests mailed through the US Mail are equally "lost." Meanwhile, Sirius XM continues to bill and accrue charges on these unwanted accounts. They continue to bill for subscription renewals even after being told not to renew in writing (since telephone calls do not work with them either).
These practices amount to unauthorized billing and, effectually, theft. The company has the audacity of referring "unpaid" accounts to collection agencies to procure payment for unwanted service. The likelihood is that they are damaging the credit rating of customers on top of taking their money without authorization.
The company has had financial difficulties, so the likelihood is that these accounts are being forcibly retained in order to misrepresent the company's financial condition to investors. I have filed complaints with the FCC, my state attorney general and my US Senator. I would like reimbursement for all that they have charged me without my consent. I would like new regulations, if necessary, in effect to improve the cancellation process for customers.
