I went to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ on October 23, 2004. There were five of us in the group. The shortest line was over an hour and it was for bumper cars. The main attractions had over a four hour wait each. The price to get in is 49.00 per person. The kids were able to get on to one ride each before we gave up. This translates to almost 100.00 per ride. It was fright fest and when we tried to get to those it was over a five hour wait. People were sitting on the ground for hours waiting (if you are sitting there you cannot go on rides). The newest scam is to buy an additional pass that you use to schedule your ride times (this is in addition to the regular admission). When I complained to Guest Services I was told they were not at capacity. So capacity to Six Flags is how many bodies they can squeeze in and ripoff rather than how many people they can reasonably accommodate and service.

We went in October 1999 and that was the very last time I stepped foot into Six flags. It was fright fest and the place was beyond insane and not worth all the money spent. We got on 2 rides for all the money I spent and I got off the Hay ride line to take my kid to pee as my husband held our spot and was told the line was closed and I cannot reenter. This was after I was on the line for over 2 hours and my poor 5 year old had to pee.
I never will spend a dime in that place EVER!

I NOW THE FEELING. I WENT ON JUNE 8 2005 WAS THE FIRST TO BE ON LINE FOR THE SCREAM MACHINE ONLY TO SIT THERE FOR 30 MINUTES UNTIL THEY OPENED THAT RIDE UP.
WHEN ON SUPERMAN NEXT NOT SO BAD 45 MINUTE WAIT. HERE IS THE GOOD PART, WANTED TO GO ON THE NEW ROLLERCOASTER (KINDA KA) OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. WAITED ON LINE FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES THEN IT BROKE DOWN.
THEN WE HEARD TEC.PROBLEM BE FIXED SOON. SOON WAS 21/2 HOURS LATER THEN THEY CAME ON THE LOUD SPEAKER TO TELL EVERYBODY TO GET OFF LINE AND GO TO ANOTHER RIDE.
THAT WAS ALL FINE BUT EITHER HALF THE RIDES WERE CLOSED OR THERE WAS ANOTHER 2 HOURS WAIT TO GET ON ANOTHER ONE.
THAT IS WHY THERE HAVE 2 FOR ONE TICKETS THEY PUSH YOU IN AND ONCE YOU PAY YOUR OUT OF LUCK.
I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT THERE PROBLEM WAS BUT ON THE WEBSITE THEY SAID ALL RIDES WORKING.
SO I GUESS THAT WAS FALSE ADVERTISEMNET.
WANTED TO GO AND GET MY MONEY BACK ONLY TO FIND THAT LINE HAD A 1 HOUR WAIT.
NEVER GO THER BIGEST RIP OFF IN THE WORLD.

i know the feeling. i ran rides for sixflags,darien lake last summer. (w. ny state)i had to deal with frustrated ppl all the time for $6.00 an hr! most workers quit before the season ended! ppl have waited for an hr or more for rides and the ride lasts maybe one minute! six flags is a ripoff,u cant ride more than a few rides and everything else costs more money after paying to get in! ill never work for these crooks again. everyday i dealt with ppl screaming at me because i wouldnt let their kid on because he or she wasnt tall enough. all they care about is getting your money and paying the employees crap to deal with the ripped off customers! even the security ppl got paid crap,$6.50 an hr! what a great wage to put up with this. never again!
