Skyline product distribution and BBB rating

As for the product itself, we have five high-quality professional laser presses working constantly, printing thousands of magazines and maps every week. I watch boxes and boxes of our product going out daily, delivered to our advertisers and distributions points, picked up at our office by the United States Postal Service. Questions about our postal deliveries should be directed to the Peoria Post Office, who does ALL of our deliveries, all appropriately documented by the USPS.
As for the Better Business Bureau, it is interesting that a supposed "scam," as many of the complaintants call Skyline Publishing, has a rating with the BBB (on a scale of A+ to F) of an "A-". We do business with thousands of business professionals every year and the number of complaints we get is very small when compared to the overall volume of work we contract to complete.
I have been with this company for almost three years, after having owned and published a weekly newspaper for eight years, and was involved in broadcasting for over 30 years prior to that. I am very pleased to write that this is the most professional organization with which I have ever had the pleasure to be associated. We have a qualified staff of graphic artists who create the ads and prepare the publications. Our sales floor is not a "boiler room" and is supervised by a management staff that monitors calls to assure that our salespeople are doing things properly and are truthful in their presentations.
Take the complaints you read about on this and any other website with a grain of salt. As Abraham Lincoln said, "When the law is on your side, argue the law. When the truth is on your side, argue the truth. When neither are on your side...argue, argue, argue!"
Ms. Ward, we provided you with the proof that you did order the advertising and the proof that you were given a proof and you refused to make changes. The BBB sided with us and stated that we did nothing wrong.
Mr. Rutan, I never called you a deadbeat or any other names. As I remember Sir you were the name caller. All I did was provide you with the documentation I had. We have never changed or motified any document or proof we have. We don't need to do that. If you did not purchase the ad then we never would have an invoice for you. You have paid the second invoice and in your original complaints you were arguing over the first invoice but now you seemed to have changed your story. That does not give much creditbility to you.
In closing, I wish you both the best in your business and I hope you learn some professionalism along the way. If you do what you are supposed to do and pay invoices for purchases you have made then there is no reason to argue and slander companies who are just trying to collect their money owed. I'm sure you appreciate getting paid for services you provide to customers. We do not intimidate anyone. It is simple you want the advertising or you don't. You paid or you didn't. If you don't pay then you are sent to a collection agency and the account is no longer handled in our office. If either of you have proof of any of your claims please provide that but since you don't and the ripoff report does not require proof or validity to claims you will not be providing any. Mr. Rutan the reason you stated for customers not to file a complaint with the BBB is because like you they will lose. The BBB looks at all evidence and makes a knowledgable decision. Good luck to you both.

Even if you do pay up and get a paid in full receipt, a new one will appear in a few years. You will be called "to stupid to tell the difference in invoice numbers" which is difficult if you never knew of a second one that thier computer generated. They say "you forgot you did another add with us the following year and it had no changes by you so we printed and you owe us" If you don't see it, know what they are doing it is difficult to approve and add changes. There-in lies the next hurdle, Burnstien and Burnstien.
Skyline is not a member of the BBB but will reply 1 time and send in only part of info, no lies on you just creative whining. Their replies are unprofessional and offensive. The BBB will not help but give a documentation of a pattern of deception.
They will create a good add for you (whether you agree to it or Not) but will not distribute. The distribution is for you and any other poor soles that add with them. In my town I work for 1 person that advertised in 2009 and am a neighbor of another business owner. Have spoken with both and Neither one does or will advetize with them Ever again. Am trying to talk to others in my county. They printed an add for me in 2009 that was good but cost me over 200.00 for 1 booklet as they sent no more. The following year they allegedly put out another add that I didn't approve or even see and Boom-- an invoice appears 2 years later. There Will Be NO distribution unless You do it Yourself.
They do use creative wording like "we help you advertise in your local directory like the Chamber and visiting Centers in your area." They do Not lie just mis lead you--You do the distribution not them as they make it sound.
Contact the Attorney Generals Consumer fraud hotline at 217)782-9243. They will respond where as the BBB will do little (Skyline is not a member so they can't) You can look for booklets at local business' as they have to do their own advertising but will be pressed to see any add unless you pay a couple of hundred bucks to view the ONE they send you. Read more on them on Consumer reviews and get more help. Send a cease and desist letter to them (they will not accept it) and follow that up with a letter to the A.G. They will next attempt another ploy in thier arsenal, Burnstien and Burnstien, this is really where the cease and desist will assist as they are the third party to collect from us "deadbeats" as we are called. Stand up and speak up, I am in my community Now, and will continue till they can no longer dupe small business owners Again.
If you even speak to these people, you are hooked. Do no do business with them or just pay up and go on, but they will return in a few years explaining how you are jumping on the hype, slander, and attacking a good family based business. You are not the bad person, just explaining what Your experiences are. If they are similar, there IS something to it maybe.
