Seep Comfort Adjustable beds, hired me in 2004 to manage the Customer Service and Delivery department.The company had, at this time a limited lifetime warranty, and eventually by 2005 a lifetime warranty. All parts on the adjustable bed including the mattress,are covered 100%, purchaser ONLY pays shipping cost.But in all actuality, The company charges the customers for the COST OF THE MATTRESS.
Mattress cost can cost up to $1000 and then add on a $180 delivery charge. My job was to explain away these outrageous cost, avoiding at all cost BBB or advertisers AARP complaints, filed by the customer. If the customer caught on and filed a complaint, Tom Hosepian (1 of 2 owners)ONLY then, would instruct me to reduce the cost of the mattress.Sleep comfort's hardcopy files & Special order log,contains all of the above transactions.
Sleep Comfort adjustable beds web site is very misleading, and lands them in trouble daily. The BBB & AARP as well as the Attorney State Generals office have all contacted this company on the customers behalf.
Sleep Comfort offers a 90 day in home trial. They claim, all the customer needs to do is call us after the first 45 days return it, WE WILL GIVE YOU 100% REFUND NO QUESTIONS ASKED. This is not true and I actually have a recording of Stephan Tepper (other owner),scaming a customer, that was trying to return the bed.
The company does not want these beds back,and have actually given all profit made, back to the customer, apart from the actual wholesale cost of the bed, in order to avoid a restocking fee.
They also offer mattress swap for customers who may have been sold a mattress that doesnt quite meet there comfort needs. There is a very strong possability that they are refurbishing these mattresses and re-selling them as new.
