Slidell Nissan sold new car to my Daughter with the promise of a new set of tires providing she followed all service agreements. When the time came for new tires she was denied because she had missed one tire rotation. She brought this to my attention and I asked her where the paperwork was, she said she didn't know ( she is 19 ). I called the dealer and was told they would locate the paperwork, which they never did. Sent E-Mail to president of the company but never received a reply. Did some research on the net and found other dealers in the country that have used the same BS to sell cars with many of the same results. The purpose of this Rant is to warn other people whenever dealing with a auto dealer to Always get everything in writing. They are not at the bottom of the trust list for no reason.

10 buck oil change !

Seems Slidell Nissan has a 10 buck oil change for people who buy new cars from them. I'm not sure if this is part of the Warranty. When they changed my daughters oil the last time they sold her a Air Filter, they told her she needed one, the car is a year old. This time they tried to sell her a new battery, when she asked why she needed a new battery when the car was only a year old, they told her that her old Battery had too many miles on it ! The battery has too many miles on it, I had to ask her again. Not much I can say after that. One of my son's recently purchased a Nissan Truck, I directed him to the dealership in New Orleans.

that a little more information about car dealers would be appropriate here . The dealer reserve is a kickback auto dealers receive for selling customers loans with higher interest rates than that for which the customer qualifies. Dealers justify markups as compensation for time spent finding financing, despite the fact that the average car buyer spends about 30 minutes with the finance department, which stands to gain over $1,000 per hour for their service. Always shop around before making a purchase from a auto dealer, "consumer reports" for a small fee will give you a break down on the real cost of a vehicular. This may or may not apply to Slidell Nissan, I am not privy to the inner workings of this dealership but I have turned 3 friends away from this dealer, costing them much more than the tires they refused my Daughter. As far as who I am, Slidell Nissan knows who I am and that's all that counts.

I've read a number of rebuttals from you and a common thread in nearly all of them is that you encourage the OP to commit some act that would leave them open to criminal charges and/or a civil lawsuit. Slidell Nissan never contacted her or myself regarding the Paperwork which they claimed they needed to perform the tire replacement. Both rebuttals by Jim and Patti were posted on the same day. How long have you 2 worked at Slidell Nissan ?

It sounds to me like your daughter is the one at fault by not abiding by the terms of the agreement by missing a tire rotationg. Being "only "19" is no excuse.
