Installed their IID device in my daughters truck. From the start - the only time you will be able to reach them on the phone is for the initial sales call. Once they have your money - you are on your own with any of their devices. They rely on a network of installers and authorized servicers that collect the money, install the device, download the reports, and remove the device. These dealers can not help you when there are problems with the device or when you need to have you car repaired. Our truck needed repairs. The Smart Start website states that the repair shop can call to get a bypass code. Dealers will NOT blow into IID systems. You either get a bypass code or you stay there all day with your vehicele for anytime it needs to be started. The problem is that Smart Start will make you wait over an HOUR for tech help on their 800 number. The call for the bypass code must come from the repair facilities phone and representative - and NO ONE in the auto repair business is going to wait on the phone for an hour to get a bypass code. So if you have a Smart Start device in your vehicle - and it needs to go in anywhere for work - you can mark the day off your calendar because there is no other choice. My recommendation is to avoid Smart Start at all costs.

You should actually be very grateful that your daughter is not in jail and alive. Because if she had injured(or worse killed) someone she would be in Prison..that is if she survived.
