I bought a portable heater (model number: LS 500 wp) in December. We needed it to heat an extra room because of the really cold winter this year. The heater was only on during the day (approximately 10 hrs max) and then was turned off each night. This heater worked for a little over 2 months, and now it will not heat anymore.
The heater will turn on and blow cold air, but will not create heat anymore. I have been told the element has burnt out since you can see the heating coil will not heat up. After contacting the company numerous times, I have now been ignored and they are no longer responding.
I have tried calling their technical support, and after sitting on hold each time for 30 minutes, I just give up. I have never been able to reach an actual person to talk to. No matter the day/time, you will stay on hold forever.
While on hold, they recommend contacting them via email, so I did email their customer service. I did receive a response via email from CRS03@snsam.com from a Lori. She told me the element was likely burnt out, but the item was on backorder (FIGURES).
Then she said she would get back to me the next Monday, because the parts should be in by then. Since then, I have received no further contact. I have tried calling (outrageous hold times, still no actual person to talk to); and emails again (no replies). This was almost a month ago already.
I purchased this heater brand new to actually use this winter, the rate this is going I will have to go buy another $150+ heater so we can actually use this room this year. Lifesmart company has very poor customer service and faulty products. I would not recommend their products to anyone.
