There is this company I just found out about while I was looking for work on Craigslist called Solavei. The ad said that you could sell T-mobile phone service from home so I was definitely interested so I replied to the ad. I found out the company, Solavei, was started by some executives from Motricity who conned a bunch of shareholders and investors out of their money by selling options for the stock and making millions for themselves while not telling the investors that the company's sales were going down and that targets were not being met.
The only picture of the management on the company website is for Ryan Weurch and in the videos he is in he barely seems like he can keep it together. He is laughing under his breath the whole time while looking extremely angry, like he is going to boil over, in other moments.
The company whose network they are using has UNLIMITED 4G data along with unlimited talk and text for not that much more so this and the fact that owners and founders of the company are questionable made me decide, even though I desperately need the money, to stay far away from this company and it's shoddy cell phone service.
Don't waste your time looking at this company like me, run as far and as fast as you can!

People are getting jealous when other people while using their phone and they can make some extra money to pay their bills. Are you jealous? What did Solavei take from you? why people too care about where did the company get the money from? Why do you guys care too much about something not even can buy you breakfast tomorrow morning? Who care who is CEO? who care what is his back ground? Why don't you care why do you need to pay for you phone bill every month while other people in Solavei they don't.
Actually some people just pay the service for 49$ +plus tax .but they don't want to do business.But some other people they want something more in their life , they have dream to make extra 250$. 1000$ or more. And they go for it. If you couldn't find anyone so you couldn't get 20$ for 3 people that is not SOlavei problem, that is your problem. When you guys can't do some thing if you know how to take presponsible for your own problem , I believe your life will become better. every day complaining that why this country has a lot of broke people nowadays.
I used to pay 170$ for sprint, I have money to pay for that but I realized that why do I need to pay for my phone bill when I can get it for free. I enrolled with Solavei 2 months ago. I started to share about Solavei on my facebook and people asked and enrolled, I didn't get anything in first month, but 3 days ago, I have money on my solavei pupple card. I am so happy, I paid gas,nice dinner. I thought with myself, how cool is that! why people don't shut their mouth up from complaining and start to think a possitive way, they may happy like me.
Let's me tell with some negative people out there and looking for negative feed back about anything. I just came to America 2 years, when I came here I had only 2000$ with my hand, Have you ever think why Everyone lives outside this country call America is land of oppotunity? and Why's American life in reality is so poor , broke and hopeless, and afraid and scare and see life with all negative? I'm am sure I am making way a lot more money from a lot people who are complaining about Solavei in this topic, who live in land of opportunity longer and speak better English then me.
I'm proud to be a part of this " Scam" . and depend on your own choices. want to be with those complaining but broke or not complain but rich?

With Solavei you get unlimited TALK, TEXT, WEB on 4G service! I switched ten months ago and have no billing problems, my monthly bill is the same every month and can browse online with my phone as much as I want.
I have been in the cellular business for many years and what Solavei has to offer for service is better than any other carrier in the market.
I would be glad to clear the air and bring some understanding to any confusion.

I am a Solavei member and I have been since early November.
I use my AT&T iPhone4 on Solavei and I am very happy with the service. I pay $59.77/month (which includes all local taxes) and that has never varied. I was an AT&T customer for 9 years, and a Sprint customer before that. I paid no less than $100+ per month for one phone and it went up to $180+ when I added a second basic phone. I NEVER paid the same amount from month to month, due to voice, text and/or data overages; but I also NEVER paid less than $100 for one and $180 for two phones.
Solavei gives me the comfort of knowing what my monthly phone bill will be each month, no mystery charges or add-ons. As far as throttling after using 4G of data, that only applies to less than 3% of users, and there are ways to avoid that for the 3% (such as using wi-fi).
As far as the trio pay, you have your facts wrong. Solavei members who enroll 3 others get paid $20/month. If they enroll 6 members total (directly under them), they get paid $40/month. If they enroll 9 members directly under them they get paid $60/month and so on. Where you are wrong is that if one member drops service then you only lose one trio, until (if) another member enrolls. So you said if you have 9 and 3 drop you get $0- and you are WRONG. The fact is that you drop from $60/month to $40/month, because you still have 6 which is two trios. You also have the opportunity to earn $ from the people that your trios enroll. Anyone one your second level is added together and for every three on your second level, you earn an additional $10/month. I guarentee that your other cell phone dealers do NOT offer that kind of compensation plan, if they offer ANYTHING at all!
Another inaccurate fact is that there is NO activation fee on Solavei. There was in the past, but since early 2013 Solavei dicontinued charging a fee for activation, so if you want to present the facts, please present the truth.
As far as the customer care center. It would be great if Solavei did not have to use an out of country provider, however Solavei is doing everything they can to keep income in the hands of the US consumer by sharing 50% of every dollar earned with the Solavei members through the compensation plan. Solavei offers not only call in customer care, but they have online live chat customer service and an online member accesible feed to ask questions and share information among members and customer service - which is the first of it's kind in mobile service!
I believe Solavei is an affordable mobile phone service, which offers everyone an opportunity to access great mobile service on smartphones without breaking their budgets. It also provides an opportunity, for those that want to, to earn money for referring others for service. Not everyone wants to refer others, and like me, I like being part of a company that offers that opportunity and I know that when I pay my bill each month for my mobile service, I am providing someone else a chance to earn money if they choose. In my opinion, it's a win all around. I have never experienced anything but frustration and greed from all the other mobile phone carriers I have been a customer of in the past. Solavei is the wave of the future, no longer are we the means to an end (all other mobile providers, including facebook, google, yahoo, etc), but we dertermine the end result. Solavei is also entering into opportunities to save through a program they call Solavei Retail, which will offer savings to Solavei members at many popular retail locations. Watch out for it, because it will be huge!!
In summary, this rip-off report serves a great service to consumers and I hope my comments clear up any wrong information provided by Maura and others before her. I welcome any responses that can factual refute my statements, because I deal in truth. Have a great day!

First I was also interested in this opportunity myself. Having worked for VZW and also AT&T I thought this would be a great option to get back into the wireless business. My only issue is how the plan works .
The trio set up that even though there are many videos on joining Solavei there are even less on breakdowns on how the compensation package actually works. Sure pretty much everyone has a cell phone so this shouldn't be a hard sell at all. The only issue is the "trio" and how you only get paid once you sign up that third person. If one of the three falls off then you're back to just paying for your monthly plan. Also the "unlimited up to 4G "throttled" then back down to 2G". Sure this is not bad when it supposedly is a better deal than the actually true network's offerings.
Moving on to the network itself so it's mostly GSM. This has worldwide use but of course anyone with a VZW phone is on the CDMA network which would require purchasing a phone outright that could be anywhere from $29 upwards of $500+. This is also why most people go for the 2yr contract plans in the first place. Do they want to be stuck with one carrier ? No but they receive a free top of the line phone or it's discounted tremendously makes most people ignore the 2yr contract term. In other words they feel it's a trade off then having to shell out $500+ for a phone to be contract free.
Ohh "no blackberry?" This is going to be passed over by some of the blackberry only individuals. This is almost as bad as VZW passing over the Iphone when it first launched. Pretty sure they kicked themselves for years seeing how they missed out on billions.
Obviously the consumer can purchase a phone on ebay etc etc. There are ways of getting around this but most don't like the hassle of warranty issues etc. I've been an ebay shopper for over 10 years and I'm pretty sure most people know that maybe about 25-45% of what you buy may not be as described, have a defect , be completely unusable and typically require you to file charges for ebays buyer protection dept.
I'm not saying it can't be done but many can't wait 2-3 weeks to get things to work properly.
Now moving onto customer service of Solavei. I've worked in customer service for the VZW and AT&T right here in the U.S. If there is a language barrier issue with the customer service of Solavei then I'm only going to assume they've outsourced their service team.
Why is this a problem? Getting people here in the states to join a service and when they need help they have to fight to get assistance in their native tongue? This to me is a problem. If they want to really help the economy here they can provide work at home opportunities for reps that would happily provide customer service. I'm a bit tired of companies luring U.S. consumers in with the flash and care of a fellow American and then when issues arise with the product you're now shipped off to India or South America for trouble shooting.
Once again another company that wants Americans to support another country's economy. I think it's about time we return the work back to the states where is obviously needed.
So to sum things up....
The price of the plan is great and sure even though it's not fully unlimited, there aren't really any carriers that offer true unlimited anyways. So that is good.
Price of phones is pretty similar to that of any carried when you don't sign a contract. There are other companies that do have better options but again the free pricey phone is why people sign up for a contract in the first place. I am fully aware that if you are already on Tmobile that you can use the same phone but for those on VZW you're going to have to pay or hunt for a cheaper alternative.
The trio? Not really a fan of having to make sure 3 people always stay in to make $20. If someone disconnects for whatever reason then you lose out on that leg of money not to mention it throws off all earnings.
Ohh and lastly ...
Promoting the opportunity to Americans to buy in yet they are unable to higher Americans for customer service. This last part is probably the only reason I would pass on this opportunity. Personally if I have to pay an extra $20-$40 a month in cell phone service so not only my issues can be resolved in a timely manner but I also know that the money is going back into helping the economy and keeping a fellow American employed, then so be it. Going further. With the fact that this company doesn't pay for advertising but makes the people buying in to do it for them, they surely can afford to higher people right here.
If they aren't then they are making a killing and paying back a measly $20 after they've gained not only the person to sign up but also 3 additional people. If you've ever been to one of those authorized dealer locations in store, please do ask them how much they make on signing up new customers , activation fees, adding additional feature etc for the many different providers on the market. You'll feel that you're being taken advantage of when you compare how many people you have to get to join before seeing a substantial amount of money coming in with Solavei.
I don't feel Solavei is a scam at all but I do think they aren't paying enough for the amount of effort put into this type of business and also the less than exceptional support provided to it's consumers.
Also to add 97% of people that enter the business will fail at making any substantial money. So only 3% will excel. I can only assume how far up the ladder that 3% sits. Again just want to provide my view on Solavei because for a moment I was ready to get in myself.
For those that are doing great at this opportunity I wish you more continued success.

Ohh one more thing.. There is a $49 activation fee per line of service yet you don't see any of that money. A typical authorized dealer of wireless service for any cell phone company does get a portion of that fee per line.

So let's try some basic math 3 activations with Solavei $20
3 activation with any carrier $ 225
Sure Solavie is residual income meaning you'll receive that $20 monthly as long as those 3 people stay put. If one disconnects then it's bye bye $20. If you have 9 sure that's $60 a month but if 3 fall off you're back down to $0
Sign up 9 as an authorized dealer and make $ 675 at the start. No monthly residual and that's not to mention that added feature like insurance, accessories etc that you'll make on top of that.
Hope this information has helped those that wanted all the facts. I'm glad this post was put up because I ended up doing more research that opened my own eyes even further.

Sure Solavie is residual income meaning you'll receive that $20 monthly as long as those 3 people stay put. If one disconnects then it's bye bye $20. If you have 9 sure that's $60 a month but if 3 fall off you're back down to $0
Sign up 9 as an authorized dealer and make $ 675 at the start. No monthly residual and that's not to mention that added feature like insurance, accessories etc that you'll make on top of that.
Hope this information has helped those that wanted all the facts. I'm glad this post was put up because I ended up doing more research that opened my own eyes even further.

I'm starting to see many more complaints about Solavei which I predicted at the beginning of this thread, the only ones making any money off this are the ground floor execs that Ryan Wreuth or whatever his name is brought over from Motricity, which by the way is still being sued in Federal court for insider trading. They will continue to clean up on the Solavei scam as long as the pied piper continues to suck them in which won't last much longer and then he will move on to his next scam!

I had Solavei service for about 2 months I only got the service to start a business and it seemed like a good idea at the time I had 13 people sign up 8 in front of my face and not once did I get paid for it or did it show up under me, so yeah I guess if your looking for ok cell service that will give you nothing back in return then this is the company to sign up for I wish I would have just found a second part time job instead of wasting my time and energy with this company since my friends and family that signed up have cancelled their service and have also had the same experience as me so if anyone is wondering about the compensation plan? (there isn't one unless your the CEO).

I called on 3/18 and spoke with 2 people.. Their customer service was not world class. The last person had me on the phone for 40 minutes and could not understand what I was saying. I asked if I had a zero balance. Why didn't he understand that comment/question?

I've been reading some of the posts and am hearing comments made about what you "have heard". I signed up with Solavei a week ago and ported a phone number from a major carrier. It was really easy and did it flawlessly in a few minutes. When I worked for one of the leading cable companies I used to see porting nightmares and wasn't too confident in this switch over until I went through it myself. It was easy!
When I have called Solavei customer service, I have received nothing but "world class" customer service on every call! This is something I have never received with my former carrier. Every time I would upgrade to a new phone with my previous carrier it was a billing nightmare. Solavei's billing is simple and much easier.
So, before you provide negative comments, experience it for yourself!

original post is from an ignorant person. company seems strong with a great concept but would be great if the service was as intended. been with Solavei from before the launch and it was great but seems the more people joining the worse the service gets. for one when you talk to customer service which they are always polite but yet will get different information based on the more people you talk too. although similar with a lot of other customer service agents with other companies this bothers me. Number 2 Solavei data service was great but after more people enrolled it sucks! It seems like network cant handle the amount of data being used that many people experience data not throttling down but actually being cut off and losing data connection entirely then connecting again then losing it then connecting then losing it every ten minutes in a day. Customer service says they got many people calling about it and was once told its in your terms and agreemnet that you are not guaranteed 4g or data speeds or connectivity. What the hell was that ithought! my service reset today and I'm still running on throttled down speeds. Again what the hell! But then this been happening for past 3 months where I'm throttled down then it gets faster then throttled down again close to end of my service ending day. Solavei was great the first two months after I joined but seems with each month it gets worse and worse. There is nobody in customer service that knows what's going one and basically make up answers to bypass your concerns which they don't have the answers to. First of all I did not start this thread and second of all the lawsuit filed against Ryan Weurch and the executives he brought over from Motricity for violating the 1933 securities act for insider trading has not been dropped. Also I don't need a multilevel marketing scam to make a living as I have a successful web design business, I wait tables 5 nights a week and I Sing Frank Sinatra music! These Solavei dweebs will make up anything to prop up this company. When the Vice President called me on my cell phone that was my first red flag, he was upset that I was questioning the leadership of Solavei and talking about the lawsuit filed by the Motricity shareholders in Solavei forums which he is also named in. This whole thing is a house of cards about to come tumbling down. Here is the correct info about the present law suit in Federal court.

If the service costs $49 and the commission paid to each person in the referral chain is $6.67 (20/3), then if you go beyond 8 people in the referral chain, the company gets $0 for services and goes in the red paying commissions.
Tom refers Dick refers Harry refers Mary refers Jack refers John refers Diane refers Sue. Now if Sue refers someone, the company goes in the red paying commissions -- UNLESS the chain is broken by someone dropping the service. So if Harry stops service, Tom and Dick no longer get paid for Mary, Jack, John, Diane, or Sue.
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. I cannot see how this plan could be sustainable unless people cancel frequently or the referral chain does not grow beyond three (at that point the company is getting paid $29 per customer).
Do the math.

I've had my Solivei Service now for several months. I even bought one of their phones. I had no trouble turning it on or getting my promised service. None. I washed the dang phone in my robe pocket, left in in a bowl of rice overnight then set it outside in the sun for a few hours. Replaced the battery, charged it up and it's sitting right in front of me above my keyboard as I write this. Working like a charm. Then I spilled a cup of coffee all over it. Still working. I could not be happier. End of story.

I was looking to find out more about this company and I saw this "rip off" report. But it hasn't swayed me to believe if I do start service that I'd be ripped off. Wouldn't this company offer service like Straight Talk or Boost or Metro PCS, with the only difference is they pay you $20 for 3 referrals that sign up and keep service for 2 months?
I tell you $49 is a lot less than I pay with my current contracted carrier. Why shouldn't I get good service like I already have an pay alot less, as well as refer a few friends so i can make extra cash?! Oh and if it doesnt work out I'll move on! Boo hoo, go cry in the corner!

Solavei and ReadySim are two MVNO that have 4G LTE right away when T-Mobile rolls out the major upgrade this year (already started, in Las Vegas).
Many people calls Solavei is MLM but it isn't shady. You don't have to buy any jungle drink, not any kinds of cosmetic b.s just to resell them to your downline to earn profit. The $49 tag you pay for is the actual service you get for your cellphone with unlimited text-talk and data plus 4G on first 4GB. That is not steep at all. It might not be the best bang for the bucks considered some of us may not need data, but it's one of the best you can get so I don't understand why some people gets all negative about it for.
The affiliate program has MLM elements in it but that means this is a fair opportunity for everyone. The complaints saying that Solavei is a scam almost make me laugh - but instead they piss me off! I know for a fact that it is not, because I have been enjoying their cell phone service since before the public launch on September 21, 2012.

Prior to Solavei, after being forced to shut down my own two businesses, I had been unable to find work (or income) for over three years. I am now making money with Solavei each and every month - and helping others do the same. Solavei accepts everyone.
I have also personally met Mr. Ryan Wuerch and can tell you he is a very solid, stand-up guy and has built a great team around him at Solavei.

I have to respectfully disagree however with your comments regarding support. I have talked to them numerous times and they have been very courteous. If you truly aren't getting service even though the coverage map says you are, have any diagnostics been run? Do you get no service anywhere or just a particular place, like inside your house? I know where I live, if I'm at the back of my house, my signal is diminished. That is because there are walls between me and the line of sight to my cell tower.
My personal experience was, with ATT, I had NO service inside or outside my home and I switched because I actually have a signal with Solavei.
If you read the terms of service, if you report this problem within 14 days of service activation, you are entitled to your refund.. If you waited longer than two weeks, you are responsible for that month's billing. That is why people should read the fine print before agreeing to any TOS.

Well, saying that I think Solavei is here to stay. If you are still paying for your cellphone it's time to change. Get your phone company to pay you. Follow this check list and keep the target: Do you use cellphone? Check the coverage (I'll let you know in my place how to do it). Would you like unlimited voice, text and data (including 4G at 4G) witn no contract, no credit score, bringing your own phone and for $49 or less? Less means you can get it to $29, $9, $0 or even get Solavei pay you?

The case you are referring to was completely thrown out by the court system. That means the judge determined there wasn't even one credible piece of information in the case.

I've followed Solavei from it's inception and at first I was more than just a little leery. The concept was fresh and new but the whole thing sounded just a little to good to be true. So when I got emails about Solavei I'd just delete them.
But after about three months of peeking in on it's progression and checking to see who was joining their team I got in. Below is just a few of the people behind Solavei like the top exec's. And do you really believe T-Mobile would risk their reputation by aligning themselves with someone that they haven't fully investigated?

I put my first review 8 days ago when I got my smartphone and just moved to Solavei. Today I can speak about my experience and the service.
I was with metropcs before so the phone didn't work. I got the free smartphone they offer and until now it has been working very good. Strong signal, long battery life, good speed running games and the better, it has "hotspot" so I don't need to pay anymore the 3g for my iPad and I'm saving additional $25.
About the plan, I got the better ever. Unlimited voice, text and data (4Gigs at 4G and the rest at 2G) the "best 4G unlimited" data plan for $49 always. Even if I don't refer any people, I have the best plan around at the best price.
Other than testing the phone and the service I've been learning about the compensation plan and it is also one of the best in the market. The registration fee was removed last week so now you just need to pay the $49 for the first month and move on (before making a decision check the coverage in their map. No hidden fees so you pay only for your monthly service. Again, if you don't refer people still you get a very good plan.

Isn't it a sad state of affairs when people claiming a Solavei Scam get so much exposure - Gez...
Last time I checked, any kind of ponzi, pyramid scheme or 'rip-off' does not pay its 'victims' money.

- I have been a Solavei Mobile member since the beginning, my member number is 1498 out of 100,000+
- As of 1/11/2013, Solavei has paid it's members $3,851,600. Solavei officially went public on Sept 21, 2012.
- As of 1/11/2013, Solavei had over 100,000 members.
- As of 1/11/2013, ALL of those Solavei members were getting unlimited 4G Talk, Text, Data CHEAPER ($49 or less) than what they were paying with their previous cellphone provider, without a contract.
- As of 1/11/2013, My Cellphone service is still free, and has been since October 2012 AND I am PAID BACK over $150 a month from my cellphone.
- As of 1/11/2013 Solavei has paid me back $700. That sure beats the $90 a month (that's $1080 a year) I was paying for my old cellphone service!
- I had AT&T IPhone before I joined Solavei. It couldn't get a signal in my house so I had to go outside to use my phone. Now, with Solavei I get signal in my house although it's weak, but the speed with Solavei on the TMobile network is TWICE AS FAST as my AT&T service was, using that same IPhone.
- TMobile is spending $4 BILLION in 2013 to upgrade and expand the 4G LTE network which will also supports the IPhone 5.
In closing, listen to someone who knows what they are talking about. Talk is cheap (and it costs you more than you know). Still think Solavei Fraud? Over 100,000 members think you're wrong.

I was thinking about what you say but I did the whole investigation and finally joined, Im gonna tell you why:
Right now I'm paying $49 monthly for unlimited voice, text and the best unlimited data plan in the market (4g at 4g and then 2g the rest). I only pay those $49 and there is no membership or minimal quote to stay or any monthly fee. I just have my phone service as usual.
Any thing else I get is profit. I mean, if I refer 0 people it's ok. I just keep paying as with other phone companies and I have the better plan.
Now let say I talk some people about this and some of them get into the company, thats profit.

Solid Business

It's easy to lump Solavei in with all the other so-called "Home Business Scams" or "Pyramid Schemes" without looking at the company objectively. That's what I believe this author did with this article.
What the CEO's picture has to do with anything, I'm not sure.
I will say this much. Solavei is a breath of fresh air in a sea of "business opportunities" where the common objective seems to be to get as many of your friends and families to shell out some money for a gizmo, new vitamin or face cream long enough for you to make some commission.
Where Solavei is different is that they offer a service that most people already use. One of the hardest things to do, especially in this economy, is to ask someone to buy something on which they currently don't spend money. Who has an extra $100 laying around to spend each money on a juice from the jungle?
The typical home business requires members to purchase products to qualify for any commissions they might earn down the road as they introduce others. The problem here is that the average person can successfully introduce only 2-3 people, not enough to generate enough commissions to offset their monthly purchase of the product. So ultimately what happens is 2-3 months in to purchasing the product, the member starts comparing his/her outgoing payment ($100/mo.) against their incoming commission and see that $100 is a lot more than $7.15 or whatever small commission they are making monthly and throw in the towel by canceling their monthly order. This is called "attrition" or "churn" and the rate is very high for almost ALL MLM companies that sell products.
Another strong point with Solavei is that the company offers real value for consumers, unlike virtually ALL MLM companies that sell an overpriced product in order to be able to pay commissions. As an example, compare Solavei's unlimited everything package and one can save upwards of 60% or more compared to a similar package with the big boys (Companies A, V and S). Even comparing to their partner T-Mobile, the savings are clear. T-Mobile offers unlimited everything for $50/month, but that includes only 100 MB of data, where Solavei offers, for a dollar less per month, the same package, but with 4 GB of data! That's 40 times the data value for one dollar less. How is that not value?
Now - are there places where T-Mobile's towers don't reach or where you may drop calls. OF COURSE! But that's true with any carrier. There is NO PERFECT CARRIER.
But one thing is for sure - and that's that cell phones are going to be moving more towards no-contract plans where people buy their phones at full price and have the freedom to move. Because once you are in a two-year contract and you eventually find that you lose lots of calls or the web speed is slow, you are stuck and will have to pay an early termination fee, which can cost up to $300 in some cases. It just stinks being bound to a two-year contract... period.
Now - regarding their compensation structure, Solavei made the right choice in making the $1,000 per month income level the sweet spot in the plan. By making this hurdle attainable by anyone who really tries, (just sharing three at a time for 4 months) many people will achieve earnings of $1K per month, which will make a big difference in the lives of many people. And if you are one who helps many people reach that level, naturally you will make more for your support of your team. That's fair compensation, is it not?
And proof that this is not a pyramid scheme, Solavei sells a service and doesn't pay anyone based on recruiting or sign up fees. Commissions are paid purely on revenue generated by cell phone subscriptions. Also, it is very common in this business for a member to out earn his upline or the person who got in long before them. If you have questions of how this works, I would be happy to explain.
Lastly, Solavei's social commerce model, where additional commissions are generated from shopping and purchases of other services such as cable TV and insurance is absolutely brilliant. They basically pay those who have the foresight to build the community aggressively through the cell phone plan.
So - honestly, I don't see where this criticism holds any water.
Is this business easy? Of course it's not easy. If it was, it wouldn't be worth it. But can it be done with some effort, creativity and support. Of course it can.

I wouldn't call it "shoddy service". I decided to try out Solavei's mobile phone service since September. As a prepaid phone service, it's not bad. With primary access on T-Mobile towers and roaming access on most AT&T towers, I find it works the same as Net10 GSM phone service and is competitive in my area for Verizon Prepaid and Virgin Mobile CDMA phone service. I travel throughout central and eastern Washington and Idaho, where GSM dominates the wilderness between Omak and Spokane and CDMA dominates the wilderness around Lewiston and the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. Pick your poison, prepaid is prepaid. Just don't break down along Hwy 12 because the coyotes and deer don't provide cell service in the numerous gaps where even the mighty Verizon an AT&T won't work. But if you live and work where most prepaid service is great, Net10/StraightTalk/Solavei/Boost/Virgin are all pretty much the same for you.
I wouldn't single out Solavei as a "scam", other than that any home based business generally has scam all over its face until proven otherwise. As a business, yes it's MLM. But at least "doing the business" doesn't cost extra, as with many of the big MLM scams that also require additional backoffice fees, replicated website fees, monthly business materials purchases, and all after a big upfront join fee. Beyond a fairly steep $49 activation fee that I avoided during a "promotion", I pay nothing on top of just buying the monthly phone service. I use a T-Mobile phone that I didn't even have to unlock. I did root the phone because I'm like that. I don't have a downline empire and don't expect one. When this company fails to compete retail, I'll jump ship again. As for "pyramid scams", that legal term applies only to businesses whose primary income is from selling distributorships and not actual products. As rotten as any MLM looks just because of what it is, know what a term means before you use it.
Me? I run a community events calendar website that is perfect for a few banner ads. And since I am also signed up as a Commission Junction advertiser, I also make money whenever an ad-clicking visitor buys Straight Talk, Net 10, or Solavei or any other competing services whose ads I host. They all amount to chump change for me and everyone knows nobody will ever get rich off any one of these gigs. But then they all required only five minutes' effort, cut and paste some code into my HTML, and never worry about it again.
Frankly, I don't care about what sins the CEO and his minions have on their records. You can dig up dirt on lots of companies. Microsoft was sued by the federal government and by high profile competitors in some of the most drawn-out lawsuits on TV and people still lovingly slurp up computers with their crappy software preinstalled (I'm a Linux guy). If Solavei tries something hinky with me, I'll just go to Straight Talk or Net10 and then cancel the prepaid Visa I use pay for my Solavei service.

this is total BS, Solavei is a legal company, i am personally using its services and so my friends. not just i lowered my cell phone bill (in Miami i pay $59 total with fees and taxes per line with 4G unlimited plan - (and it is true 4G). as for today 1/11/13 Solavei paid total of $3,851,600 in referral fees. they do what they say, and they follow through their promises. Solavei's mission is to make commerce less expensive by empowering individuals to earn income on the products and services they enjoy and use every day.

i think it is so rude to criticize videos of Ryan Wuerch who is communicating with the community.
it's not such a bad thing after all when i refer people and then go shopping with my purple Solavei card. i am saying as a user of Solavei - only positive experience here.

I decided to research because I saw advertising claiming the 4g data was unlimited. it is not. their advertising lies. End of story. If you want to defend everything else about this company, knock yourselves out, I don't know anything else about them, but you have no leg to stand on with this point. they are a no name company who has lied right in the very first line of their opening pitch to me. I would love a better alternative, but this obviously aint it. Game over before it began. I just came back to see if my opinion ever posted and what the response might be and now I am convinced that the vast majority of people gushing about this company are ones hawking it. Don't know for sure. Can't prove it. Don't care. Bye.

Um, Neil Smith, you do realize that Solavei advertises their unlimited data EXACTLY the same way that T-Mobile does right?
Here's the thing, unlike SimpleMobile, StraightTalk, Boost, Virgin, and pretty much every other "unlimited" but with a "Fair use policy" service out there, Solavei and T-Mobile actually tell you up front: You get X amount of high speed data (4GB with Solavei) and then the rest is at a low speed. I SPECIFICALLY chose Solavei over SimpleMobile and Straight Talk because the other two big T-Mobile resellers didn't offer a firm number. I don't want to be guessing, I want to know! (And I wanted to use a T-Mobile reseller for coverage reasons)
I suppose you prefer the AT&T/Verizon approach where you get billed when you go over the threshold rather than just get slowed down?
Come on dude, if you have a legitimate problem with the company, go ahead and post it. But claiming that they're misleading people about the service is just false.

Solavei Works For Me

I researched the whole Ryan Wuerch thing before signing up with Solavei. I do not believe that he is a bad guy! I do know that Soalvei is for real as I have a phone and my bill is $54.54 every month. My wife's and my mother's are the same. So instead of $300+ that I was paying Verizon for three phones, I now pay $54.54 x 3! That's a pretty good savings! Plus, with Verizon it wasn't unlimited!
The phone works great! I have experienced some dead spots but have also had full service where Verizon was zero! All in all the service level is satisfactory! Actually, it's pretty awesome!
I'm not one of those looking to get rich. I looked at the value of savings for my unlimited cell phone.
I currently have 1 trio and I have received my $20 every month! No problems with that.
I do have contact with some of the leaders that do have 1,000's of Trios and are earning significant revenue every month.
The naysayers can say what they want. Solavei is an awesome service and is real and is no a scam.
It almost seems like the complainer is either a disgruntled ex-employee or from a competitor that wishes to discredit the enemy. Either way it is not true!

Man you really have a bug up your butt about this. If you don't like the concept don't sign up, but be a little realistic.
First this is called a SCAM. By definition a SCAM is when you pay for something and don't get anything in return. This is not a SCAM. Some on the Solavei network make statements about earnings which are hard to achieve. The rest of us are getting exactly what we sign up for $49/month for service, and a return when you bring in new customers. That's what I'm getting.
As far as unlimited data, you might not like throttling, but it is unlimited. Even if you exceed 4G and are throttled you are not cut off. I guess technically there is no such thing as unlimited anywhere because we are all limited to 24 hours in a day.
Lighten up, like I said, its working great for me, and I'm all ready getting a return which is reducing my phone bill.

1st no comment on Ryan or the executives, to me they don't matter. 2nd the phone service is on T-Moble's network which is good but not as good as AT&T or Verizon, but I've never had an issue. 3rd, the phone service is $49/mo for unlimited everything which is $20-$30 less then I was paying with AT&T without unlimited. 4th, I have 4 people in my network, so I'm getting paid $20/mo. I think Solavei could be a scam if its independent social member actively promotes the compensation plan over the benefits of the cellphone plan.
-If you approach someone with the introduction to the $49.00 plan for unlimited text,talk, web on a 4G network (which is exactly what Solavei offers) then it's like a regular business marketing practice.
-If you approach someone and tell him you have a huge job / money-making opportunity in Solavei when they sign up for the $49 per month cellphone service -- if it was me I'd run. Assuming everything you said about the founders being scumbags and Motricity getting ripped off and all that is true, so what? Who gives a damn?
All I, and any other CONSUMER care about is the service I can get today for the price I'd pay today. All the MLM stuff is a distraction, $49 for 4GB data before being throttled, along with call forwarding and roaming on AT&T is a better deal than any other T-Mobile reseller offers. It's a better deal than T-Mobile gives their own prepaid customers, which is why I'm switching from T-Mobile to Solevei.
Some of us just want a cheap cell phone plan. If the company lasts 3 years and then goes boom, taking a pile of investor cash with it, I couldn't care less, because I'll have had 3 years of T-Mobile service at a bargain rate.
And no, I'm not "greedy", I'm broke. I don't have the luxury to pay more for service elsewhere just because the folks involved with this one are distasteful. I shop at Walmart, as bad as it can be for the communities it's in, for the same reason. Being broke doesn't leave you a lot of options.
Now, if they start taking peoples money and not providing the service, that's a ripoff and deserves to be reported here. If they stop paying their commissions, well, I suppose that'd be a ripoff of sorts, and should be reported here. But right now, folks are getting service.
And seriously, it's prepaid. If they go under, it takes all of an hour to swing by the nearest Walmart and grab a new prepaid SIM and get replacement service. Being a Google Voice user, no one ever sees my actual cell phone number, so even "losing my number" is a complete non-issue.
I currently pay $60 a month directly to T-Mobile for 2GB of 4G data before throttling, without the ability to roam and no call forwarding. If Solevei provides me 4GB of 4G before throttling, roaming, and call forwarding for 5 months, that covers the total risk of $50 for 1 months service if they go under. So, anything after 5 months is pure savings, not even counting the better service.
If you actually get ripped off, post something about it.
Oh, and if makes any difference, I'm a techie type signing up because the plan is the best deal for my new Nexus 4. If I even get the 3 people required to shave $20 a month off my bill, I'll be shocked. Oh, and the Nexus? Christmas present from family. I really am, seriously, quite broke. Medical bills will do that to you.

Wal-Mart Vs. Solavei

I am not a current user of Solavei, but have been looking into the service as my old Nextel phone is being shut down by Sprint. I have never liked Sprint, and do not appreciate them forcing me to leave a phone company I've had since 1999! Also, I need unlimited service for my job as a technician.
After reading this report I am convinced of one thing: the originating author of this complaint is smoking bad weed. I see no legitimacy whatsoever in there claim. Arguing with everyone who had something positive to say about a company is not a way to win the argument. I have seen more validated claims against giant Wal-Mart than Solavei. Which by the way, I do not shop at Wal-mart unless I have to. But as much as I hate Wal-Mart, I'm not going to be able to convince others not to shop there. I think Wal-Mart sucks, but you may like them. To each there own. In my mind, the ones on here against Solavei have failed to present there case. In the court of law, there would be no evidence for this case, and it would have been dismissed on "Hearsay."
You can continue to argue with people all you want, but as far as I'm concerned, Case Dismissed due to lack of evidence. I'm going to continue to examine this company and probably give it a fair chance. Even if I don't make any money, I need a phone. So at least it will serve for that purpose if no other. My name is George Bauman. I live in New Jersey. I spent approximately two months looking for an inexpensive cell phone provider and phone, i.e. a solution to the problem of not having a telephone. I settled on straight talk unlimited with a $42.78 phone, tax included, from Wal-Mart and I began paying $48.94 per month, tax included, every 30 days for unlimited text, talk and web access with very limited bandwidth. I currently am in the process of converting that service and phone number to Solavei. One reason is that the telephone for the Solavei service costs only $32.08, tax included, at Wal-Mart, unless I use my existing phone which I may or may not do since I need another phone for my unemployed, homeless brother anyway and the Solavei telephone service for unlimited text, talk and web access with substantially more bandwidth costs $49.00, tax included, every month with each new payment on the anniversary day of the start date of my service which extended yearly costs me $588.00, tax included. The straight talk service extended yearly costs $595.44, tax included. Also, the Solavei phone is $10.70 cheaper. Of course, the $10.70 savings on the cost of the phone realized by going to Solavei will be diluted by the number of yeas I keep the service. I do not know about employment or networking value or mlm value of the Solavei service, but if you are looking for an inexpensive, unlimited text, talk and web phone service, I am certain based on my lengthy investigation into phone companies, that Solavei will save you the most amount of money since, based, as I say, on my research, that Solavei is the cheapest service available in the United States. Does that make this Wuerch guy a saint, or give me reason to elect him President? Maybe not but if I need phone service, then his company is the one that I will pay unless of course they stop connecting my calls, in which case I can simply go back to the month to month service through straight talk for which I will pay $0.62 more per month. I hope this helps people see the words of the original post in a clearer light and let you make a good choice on whether or not to subscribe to Solavei phone service. In the future, if this guy chooses to keep making negative posts about Solavei, I hope the company contacts him to find out why he cotinues to make false accusations about a company which he has obviously not investigated very well and one which he has an obvious bias against. If you find that what I have said is correct, please let me know by commenting on my post. If you find I am incorrect, please post that as well, however, I am reasonably sure I am correct as that is my current and ongoing experience. First of all, SOLAVEI is NOT part of T-mobile & you don't sell it. You share it with consumers who want to get PAID for using their cell phone service. A scam is when you pay for a service & you don't get that service. My entire family(7) Paid $49.99 for unlimited 4g cell phone service and we have getting the UNLIMITED service for 6 months now with NO ISSUES OR SCAMS. Only a couple of us have SHARED the information about SOLAVEI on social networks ect. FB & Twitter.
Consumers who have chosen to sign up, are also getting the cell phone service. BUT here's the best part. For everyone of those consumers who has CHOSEN to sign up for Solavei, under our social network add, we are PAID! YES PAID! Solavei has been paying me $150 a month for 6 months now. And if more people sign up, I get paid more. And that's how it works FOR EVERYONE who decides to SHARE Solavei. So where is the scam? It's NOT a T-mobile co., U can use T-mobile phones or any other approved phone.
Again, a scam is where u pay for something UP FRONT & don't get something in return. We paid for NOTHING up front, and we got our cell service & getting paid for using our cell phones. I don't know why these people keep trying to prop up Motricity? The company went from a value of 1.3 billion to $23 million HELLO Motricity fired all the execs who dumped their stocks now they are all running Solavei! Look on the dow Jones, Motricity is @ 39 cents a share, they inflated the stock from $10 a share to $30 dumped their stock between $18-$20 and left the shareholders holding the bag as the stock plummeted, & now the shareholders are suing in Federal Court citing the 1933 Securities act that bars this type of behavior! Run for the hills, do not get involved in this scam!

Its obvious to me the truth is being somewhat distorted against
Mr. Ryan Wuerch unfairly in this thread. Asserting that Wuerch is

An interesting fact not noted by originator of this thread is that Motricity was actually founded by Wuerch himself and is doing well and is profitable as a company .
The fact is Wuerch spent nearly a decade building Motricity into a business that was valued at more than $1 billion.
As far as dumping stock Wuerch still ownes a majority of the stock he had when the company went public in 2010.
Wuerch and his attorney feel the suit is completely without merit and legally cannot comment publicly on it.
I would suggest that any person who honestly wants to be fair in examining the truth of this matter should do due diligence and get information from news worthy sources.
In my opinion slanderous and anonymously registered websites set up by someone who gives a Tokyo Japan location such as

Motricity and I parted ways in the summer of 2011 but Im extremely proud of the company and its employees and all we achieved together. I had an idea in early 2001 to create a global leader in mobile data solutions and services and it became Motricity. Over the past decade, we built an enterprise with more than $100 million in revenue and a market value that exceeded $1 billion.

Some investors have sued Motricity and raised distasteful and untrue allegations about me and the company, among others. But, many people had great experiences with Motricity, including hundreds of employees who earned a good livelihood, customers who were provided beneficial technology and services, and many investors who received significant returns.
Someone I dont know has created a website with my name that says some nasty and untrue things about me and the company. No one is taking credit for creating this site.
Im prohibited from saying much about the class-action lawsuit, but heres what I can share: Im one of 10 people and eight companies named in the lawsuit. Motricitys lawyers and I believe the suit is without merit.
The fact is: Im proud of what Motricity accomplished under my watch. I founded Motricity and spent nearly a decade building it into a business that was valued at more than $1 billion.
When I left, I still owned a majority of the stock I had when the company went public in 2010. I still own much of the stock today. When Motricitys stock dropped, its likely that very few could have lost more than me.

An interesting fact not noted by originator of this thread is that Motricity was actually founded by Wuerch himself and is doing well and is profitable as a company .
The fact is Wuerch spent nearly a decade building Motricity into a business that was valued at more than $1 billion.
As far as dumping stock Wuerch still ownes a majority of the stock he had when the company went public in 2010.
Wuerch and his attorney feel the suit is completely without merit and legally cannot comment publicly on it.
I would suggest that any person who honestly wants to be fair in examining the truth of this matter should do due diligence and get information from news worthy sources.
In my opinion slanderous and anonymously registered websites set up by someone who gives a Tokyo Japan location such as
"ryanwuerch.net" do not meet the standard for a newsworthy source.

True Wuerch may have had a screw up in his business life. However, I personally am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, there is always two sides to every story. We certainly are not getting Wuerch's side in this thread. My personal feeling is that whatever mistakes Wuerch may have made at the helm of Motricity I'm sure he has learned some hard lessons from it.

My opinion is based on who is the top two and three people who are the most successful at getting the most referrals into solavei. This two people our very respected in the online marketing industry. I dont feel they would waste there time ruining there reportations.
One of these men is famous with the site called : the escape artist and I have a feeling he will apoint Solavei 2013 best portable business. If I wanted to stay living in the usa longer than 6 more months I would open my own cell phone service store and promote that it is same as T - moble but with a compensation plan.
People need to understand that reps dont get paid 20 for life for every three referalls but you also get 20 a month for live when one of your three get three. If the T- Moble salesman would be willing to sell solavei ,they would have a very larger living. But T- moble would sue them so they have a point.
The service dont require a credit check so that will help people out and it really is 49 dollars a month plus tax. When was the last time that you got a phone bill and it was not 50 - 60 dollars more than you was promised?

I am not an employee of Solavei, but have seen their offer and am considering it so I was researching the business when I came across this site.
Aside from not really seeing how the original poster was "ripped off" and insisting that people "run as far and as fast as they can" when she was never a participant in the multi-level marketing phone service, I felt compelled to read on.
Reading "Solavei dweebs" and "trolls" in some of the responses here along with insistence that the people posting are Solavei "higher ups" I began to wonder:
Are the person(s) writing the negative comments really just Solavei's competition? Why are they so interested in using verbal abuse and fear tactics to defame the company?
As a former business owner, I know there are people out there who if they do not get what they want, will go all over the internet to try to defame a business. Competitors who are threatened can try the same tact. So now in this internet age, a business owner (and all of his or her employees) has to worry about his or her company being ruined by the extreme actions of one or two people who feel they have been wronged (or a threatened competitor wishing to cast doubts in people's minds about their competition's business).
I also know that business owners get sued by people "looking to fill their greedy little pockets".
Of course there may be unemployed good Samaritans out to save the human race from potential calamity, but over a multi-level marketing business? This looks to be the Tupperware, Mary Kay, Longaberger Basket, Pampered Chef version of cell phone service. I like the idea that they are kicking their advertising dollars back to the consumer!
I hope they succeed and save people a bunch of money in the process! (And maybe even provide people with a bit of pocket change in this troubled economy)

I was surprised to see an article attempting to make the case that Solavei is a scam based on the way Ryan Weurch looks on certain videos, or allegations from one website regarding him. It is a website that nobody is claiming ownership. Solavei has acquired a world class executive team that is unheard of for a startup company. Some of the members left high positions at established companies because they believe in the Solavei business model.
It also needs to be made clear that individuals are not selling T-Mobile phone service. The phone service is provider is Solavei. Support is provided by Solavei. Billing is done by Solavei. Payments come from Solavei.
Anyone looking to create a home business should check out Solavei, for a number of reasons. First, you don't have to pay any kind of membership fee or reseller fee or website hosting fee for the "privilege" of advertising for Solavei, as long as you are using their service. Solavei provides your own personal site and marketing tools for free. Second, you don't have to refer a certain number of people in order to remain eligible to receive compensation. Third, you don't have to purchase any inventory up front to be sold later. Fourth, you may be able to use your existing phone on the Solavei network, and not be forced to buy a new phone. Compatability can be checked before signing up for service. Fifth, the compensation that you receive is residual, meaning that it comes each month as long as those you refer remain on the service. Thats why the Solavei Execs are being sued in Federal Court, apparently they violated the 1933 Securities act for insider trading, this is what I discovered when I researched this company, also the stock went from $30 a share to the present .39 cents, yikes! Just what is the truth here? That we should run from anyone merely named in a lawsuit? NO. That would be FALSE. That Ryan Wuerch is one of 10 people and 8 companies named in the lawsuit? YES. That would be TRUE. That Ryan Wuerch, as a U.S. citizen should rightfully be deemed innocent until proven guilty? YES. That would be TRUE.
That multitudes of high profile executives across the globe, are frequently 'named' in lawsuits and later proven to be completely innocent? YES. That would be TRUE.
That when Ryan Wuerch left Motricity, he still owned a majority of the stock he had from when the company first went public in 2010? YES. That would be TRUE. That Ryan Wuerch sustained substantially greater losses in contrast to others, when Motricity stock finally dropped? YES. That would be TRUE.
That this original complaint could NOT be about Solavei, nor about a 'rip off' at all...as it merely attacks the character of ONE solitary individual, over allegations that have yet to be proven in a court of law? YES. That would be TRUE.
That when one examines the leadership and investors behind Solavei...they are undeniably a most impressive list of who's who from the industry? YES. That would be TRUE.
That most if not all of these same individuals, would conduct a thorough 'due diligence' on the company and its CEO Ryan Wuerch, prior to aligning forces and/or investing any finances whatsoever into Solavei? YES. That would be TRUE.
That many of the negative postings regarding Solavei CEO Ryan Wuerch, here and at other sites, bear some striking writers DNA similarities? YES. That would be TRUE. And...that they're actually from the same disgruntled individual with an agenda? Hmmm...it sure appears that way.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I assure you I'm not a higher up at all, merely an affiliate who found out about Solavei early on. As I stated in an earlier post, I joined Solavei to save money and get reliable cell service. The fact that I now get paid for sharing a good service with others is just icing on the cake. My main objective is to help others save on their phone bills. I do not see how offering a service that people use with an established (T Mobile) backbone at a very competitive price qualifies Solavei as a scam. Please cite how you have been personally ripped off by this company.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion regarding Mr. Wuerch and if you and others feel that his pending lawsuit is reason enough not to get involved, I respect that. I did my due diligence and decided to join this company with full knowledge of Mr. Wuerch's history. Solavei affiliates are not investors, they are consumers of the service offered. I have risked nothing and I'm getting great value, far more than my previous carrier. Could Solavei go belly up down the road? Of course it could, just as thousands of other businesses have.
My advice to those reading these comments is due your own due diligence and come to your own conclusions. It should be noted, for those who check companies out on the Better Business Bureau website, that though Solavei is not accredited, they have zero complaints against them.

The only people posting in here positive things about Solavei are the higher ups who are trying to limit damage control! Thats why the VP Jim Ryan actually called me on my cell phone when I was posting about the Lawsuit against all the Solavei execs that came over from Motricity! The truth is Solavei will last about 3 years and the Ryan Wuerch and his pals will move onto the next scam!

I fail to see the "ripoff" potential that should be the essential substance of any claim in something labeled "Ripoff Report".
If you pay the full fees to acquire this service you have invested less than $120. It appears that almost everyone is skipping the $49 setup fee, many are getting the SIM card free ($20), but most seem to have to prepay their first month of $49 so we know that at least $49 is at risk.
I am currently a T-Mobile customer. I have two family plans to accommodate my entire family. Not all of us use data and we have a contract obligation for a few more months, so I won't be switching today, but I promise to keep watching.
When you claim to get "ripped off" you have to demonstrate and actual loss of money in the process you got into. If you paid the entire $118 to become a Solavei customer and you are now enjoying the same level of servi-ce I get from T-Mobile plus 2GB more 4G data then you have lost nothing. You got everything that was advertised in the program. You can continue to pay $49/month and get talk, text and 4gb at 4G and the rest throttled until you change your mind.
If you paid your $118 and feel you got ripped off, tell me where you got ripped off and how much actual money it has cost you. Did you not get a SIM card? Did you buy a phone from them that didn't work? Is T-Mobile not providing your service? Is your 4G data being throttle before you use 4GB?
I have a confession to make about my attitude toward business people: The purpose of a business person is to insert themselves between you and a service/product and profit from it. Ethically, they should provide some additional value to make this meaningful. At its barest process level, the shareholders of Solavei hope to make a profit by selling you T-Mobile services for less than T-Mobile can.
Now for the other part that people see in this offering, the greed factor. Most people are highly responsive to opportunities to make money. Solavei offers that opportunity by using you as its sales force. When you go to the T-Mobile store and buy your T-Mobile $49/month plan T-Mobile has invested a large chunk of money in that store you're standing in and that person that's handing you the new phone or SIM card. That person gets an extra spiff of dollars when you close the deal with him/her.
There is a law in the world in which we live that says that "stupid costs money". If you think you are going to go home, do nothing different in your life and sign up "trios" it should cost you money. In reality, it won't as long as you continue to get your phone service for $49/month. If you think all your friends and acquaintances are going to jump at the opportunity you give them to become their sponsor, you are greedier than you are wise. If you are going to sign up enough trios to pay your bill and give you movie money, you are going to have to sell it and your first potential customers will be your family, then your friends, then everybody on your Facebook list, then everybody you meet standing in line for the bathroom. You will become the epitome of Amway success.
Some people will become mega-sponsors at Solavei. Some people will be able to make a trio or two and be able to maintain a couple of trios over the life of their business. Most will try to create a trio, give up when their friends shun them for being so obnoxious and end up with T-Mobile unlimited for $49/month.
My son got excited when Republic Wireless became the first successful effort to create a major business by selling someone else's phone service with unlimited Talk, Text and Data. It was 3G data and the service was Sprint and although he became addicted to data he bailed out when he got the opportunity to come back to a family plan with the rest of the family with 4G data and a lower cost. He was with Republic for quite a while and was fortunate that he could sell his phone for more than he paid for it when he ended his prodigal sojourn.
So where's the ripoff? Tell me where exactly you lost money and how much money you lost. I saw one poor chap whining about a dead phone and having to pay shipping. Some poor sod will always be trampled upon by capitalism. I haven't read a single gripe that the phone they bought was crap, that resolution to a SIM card disaster couldn't be resolved or that T-Mobile was trashing their service. Just remember: Darwin applies and it may be your DNA that needs to evaporate from the gene pool.
If you pay the full fees to acquire this service you have invested less than $120. It appears that almost everyone is skipping the $49 setup fee, many are getting the SIM card free ($20), but most seem to have to prepay their first month of $49 so we know that at least $49 is at risk.
I am currently a T-Mobile customer. I have two family plans to accommodate my entire family. Not all of us use data and we have a contract obligation for a few more months, so I won't be switching today, but I promise to keep watching.
When you claim to get "ripped off" you have to demonstrate and actual loss of money in the process you got into. If you paid the entire $118 to become a Solavei customer and you are now enjoying the same level of servi-ce I get from T-Mobile plus 2GB more 4G data then you have lost nothing. You got everything that was advertised in the program. You can continue to pay $49/month and get talk, text and 4gb at 4G and the rest throttled until you change your mind.
If you paid your $118 and feel you got ripped off, tell me where you got ripped off and how much actual money it has cost you. Did you not get a SIM card? Did you buy a phone from them that didn't work? Is T-Mobile not providing your service? Is your 4G data being throttle before you use 4GB?
I have a confession to make about my attitude toward business people: The purpose of a business person is to insert themselves between you and a service/product and profit from it. Ethically, they should provide some additional value to make this meaningful. At its barest process level, the shareholders of Solavei hope to make a profit by selling you T-Mobile services for less than T-Mobile can.
Now for the other part that people see in this offering, the greed factor. Most people are highly responsive to opportunities to make money. Solavei offers that opportunity by using you as its sales force. When you go to the T-Mobile store and buy your T-Mobile $49/month plan T-Mobile has invested a large chunk of money in that store you're standing in and that person that's handing you the new phone or SIM card. That person gets an extra spiff of dollars when you close the deal with him/her.
There is a law in the world in which we live that says that "stupid costs money". If you think you are going to go home, do nothing different in your life and sign up "trios" it should cost you money. In reality, it won't as long as you continue to get your phone service for $49/month. If you think all your friends and acquaintances are going to jump at the opportunity you give them to become their sponsor, you are greedier than you are wise. If you are going to sign up enough trios to pay your bill and give you movie money, you are going to have to sell it and your first potential customers will be your family, then your friends, then everybody on your Facebook list, then everybody you meet standing in line for the bathroom. You will become the epitome of Amway success.
Some people will become mega-sponsors at Solavei. Some people will be able to make a trio or two and be able to maintain a couple of trios over the life of their business. Most will try to create a trio, give up when their friends shun them for being so obnoxious and end up with T-Mobile unlimited for $49/month.
My son got excited when Republic Wireless became the first successful effort to create a major business by selling someone else's phone service with unlimited Talk, Text and Data. It was 3G data and the service was Sprint and although he became addicted to data he bailed out when he got the opportunity to come back to a family plan with the rest of the family with 4G data and a lower cost. He was with Republic for quite a while and was fortunate that he could sell his phone for more than he paid for it when he ended his prodigal sojourn.
So where's the ripoff? Tell me where exactly you lost money and how much money you lost. I saw one poor chap whining about a dead phone and having to pay shipping. Some poor sod will always be trampled upon by capitalism. I haven't read a single gripe that the phone they bought was crap, that resolution to a SIM card disaster couldn't be resolved or that T-Mobile was trashing their service. Just remember: Darwin applies and it may be your DNA that needs to evaporate from the gene pool.

I have been looking at Solavei for possible business opportunity and for the great service offered at a good price....
The only negative information I have found is by some person who initiated this Rip-off report.
The negatives are only an opinion of this person.
The complainer has never tried the product (neither have I... YET).
Look up almost any company in America for pending law suits.... You WILL find many past, current and pending in almost any company. Guess who gets named in those suits? Yes, The top management.
The ignorance of the person complaining, and keeping this post flowing is obvious. The definition of a Ponzi Scheme and an illegal pyramid do not in any way fit the profile of this company and their business operating model.
To this point, I have found mostly positive information about this company and the leadership.
I will continue my due dilligence. I just found it unfair that this one person's passion to bash this company is so, apparently "deep seeded"... So I want to include a possible less biassed perspective...
Unfortunately, in this particular case, Rip Off Report ranking so high on Google gets a high number (potentially thousands) of hits a day for those who "Google" the word Solavei, and as with most people not having the time to REALLY check things out closely, the opinion of one person with a negative spin will unfairly turn away those that should actually look further than what is allowed to be published by ONE passionate complainer....

This is a rebuttal to the Ripoff Report showing up in search engines when Searches for the name SOLAVEI are performed. This lady is allowed to use this RIPOFF site although she admits her relationship or experience with Solavei is limited to, and the result of, a Craig's list job search. Are you kidding me?
As to any suits filed against any of the Solavei upper management... This is America, Anybody can sue anyone anytime. Usually a suit is the result of an unhappy, ex-employee, or a competitor unable to compete in the marketplace on a even playing field. Until the case is settled.... If one really exist, well I would not put too much energy into it.
Having once been sued by a competitor along with Good Housekeeping for 1 Million in damages. Imagine being added to a suit with Good Housekeeping on you're side. Of course Good Housekeeping hired an entire floor of San Francisco Attorneys and I, as my attorney advised, just got to sit back and enjoy the fun. Like I said, you can sue anyone, but if you say you're damaged to the tune of a million...it's now your duty to prove these damages....Hummmmmmm

People around me are providing 4-G Service, Unlimited Everything, Wireless Service through a major carrier and getting paid for their referrals to the system. I was curious why Google Search kept showing my " Solavei Scam " when I searched for my Solavei website. YES I do have Solavei phone service! YES I do try to get my family and friends to join, ONLY because I have the service myself and am impressed.
I pay 49.00 a month and I have unlimited text and talk, 4G service and my pictures load to Facebook so fast It amazes me! SO I have a hard time seeing how this is a scam. Maybe I will get lucky and a few family members will sign up too and I will have free service each month.. either way, I am happy.

Solavei was a cell phone solution for me

We recently moved to an area where my ATT phone simply didn't work, so I was already in the market for new phone service. My new neighbors advised me that T-Mobile was by far the best service in my new hometown, so when a colleague told me about Solavei in June, I was intrigued since it uses T-Mobile's backbone. I also read the articles about Mr. Wuerch's involvement in Motricity and I agree with a previous poster, that people are sued all the time and judgement has yet to be made on the matter. Solavei is not publicly traded as Motricity was. I too have invested in a company and lost my investment, but that choice was made knowing I was taking a risk. I have moved on. My primary decision to join Solavei was to get reliable cell service and the fact that even without enrolling one person, I was getting a better deal for cell service than using ATT. The added bonus is that if I refer others (and I have), I earn referral commissions for doing so. I will not join a network marketing business unless I truly believe the product or service offered is worth the price regardless of income potential. For me, Solavei passes that test. I have an unlocked phone and reliable cell service. If for some reason I am no longer happy with the service, I simply cancel; no cost, no penalties, and can get service from T-Mobile directly or another provider who supports my GSM phone. Can you make money with Solavei? Yes it is possible, but that is a longer range objective for me. My primary objective is to save money and help others do the same. In the 4 months I have had service, I now have enough referrals that my phone service is paying me. I'm happy with the product and the service. I love the service and it will save me over 600.00 a year, and now im making a little extra money doing what we all do talk about our bills and our problems to our friends and family I see nothing wrong with the company. I think that the fact they are putting money back into there customers pockets is a great thing and I can't say that about any other cellular provider out there. The purpose of this forum is not for you to advertise your Solavei scam. You and the other execs that came over from Motricity will be dealt with by the Feds for violating the 1933 securities act that prohibits insider trading, which Ryan Wuerch did by inflating the stock to $30 a share & then dumping his shares along with the other execs, costing dumbstruck shareholders 1.3 Billion! Today I checked the Motricity stock and it is at .39 cents a share. The company has went from a billion dollar worth to 23 million!

I am neutral on my position with this company and am doing research for a co-worker. I am having trouble discerning what exactly the original argument against the company is. I am especially confused on the following paragraph:
"The only picture of the management on the company website is for Ryan Weurch and in the videos he is in he barely seems like he can keep it together. He is laughing under his breath the whole time while looking extremely angry, like he is going to boil over, in other moments."
There doesn't seem to be much reason aside from just your "feelings" and disdain for the founder. Though you mention a pending lawsuit against him, that doesn't say much until judgement is passed. People are accused of and sued everyday and that, in and of itself, does not constitute guilt, regardless of how passionate or vocal you are about it.
Until there is legal judgement passed, pending lawsuits do not necessarily communicate much to me. And as for your personal distaste and presumed ulterior motives, this does not seem to be a reason not to become involved.
I remain on the fence, but I have a low tolerance for emotionally motivated spin.

I know you're probably just trying to make a buck, but this guy(Ryan Wuerch) and the management that came with him from Motricity really aren't all they're cracked up to be. Enter the Google keywords "lawsuit against Ryan Wuerch" and see what you find. This guy is a creep like all the bankers and Wall Street people that crashed the economy. I don't need to hear a story from anyone one else, I've seen and heard all I need to see to come to a conclusion about these people. Like I said before, run for your lives.
Also, I read in the Lane site that people's credit card and social security numbers were stolen with the computer hacker attacks on September 10th and that people are having a hard time porting their numbers and getting their phones activated. What's next? I certainly don't want to find out.
