This agency did not pay me after sending me on a job ALL DAY with Hanes. I've worked in the garment industry for about 15 yrs and have never experienced being cheated out of pay - UNTIL I came in contact with Solomon-Page Group. I clearly worked at the job they sent me to, doing everything the person left in charge assigned to me. My recruiter at SPG, Meredith Escala, told me verbally and by email that I would be paid but after over a month of not rcving a check I decided to shoot her an email to find out what's going on. She informed me that I would not be paid. This email led to me responding by email and by calling the president and payroll manager the next day, which then I was insulted, yelled at and told several excuses why they did not want to pay me. Even after the phone assult, I was still civil and emailed them explaining I would give them a week to send my pay before I contacted the labor board. After a week, I was shocked to see I still did not receive the money owed to me by SPG. I decided to file a complaint with the NYS dept of labor and research whatever else I could do to collect my $ and warn other people about this crooked agency. When googling their name (to get their address), I was floored to see how many bad reviews they've gotten, including ones for inhumane treatment, not paying agreed amount or not at all and overall unprofessionalism and bad ethics. I discourage EVERYONE from dealing with Solomon-Page Group and would encourage anyone already screwed over by them to file a complaint, lawsuit, boycott them, protest and definitely make the labor board aware. This place should be shut down.
