SonicSonic Drive-In worked there, got hated by the management, they turn tail when they feel that I was the one in trouble Sweetwater Texas

I used to work at sonic drive in back when I was in high school because I had to pay for school supplies and at first the management was hell-bent on hiring me due to "my desire to do something constructive with my summer holiday" so I show up for the interview and asked when I was able to show up and work, I tell them I was readily available I got handed a uniform shirt and hat, these were the best and only good times I had there. what happened later was worse, way worse.

For starters, you get paid minimum wage exactly and thats not the worst part, its bad but not as bad as what I am about to reveal.

another bad thing about this particular job is learning the trade, the whole concept of sucker-punching every customer possible which in my book is just downright despicable, I have never nor will I ever forgive myself for that and I will never forgive the boss at the time for causing me to have to do so.

the worst part and this one really gets my chain harder than anything else, those with weak minds may want to read something else like a good book, I worked there for 8 months, you request more hours, they give you MORE HOURS my work shift more than doubled, about 4 months into the time I worked there, I started seeing less and less of my own family and more and more time with the store pay may have been kinda great but it was not good enough to get me to put up with certain management flaws if you will.

the management always has a favorite, if that favorite is on the receiving end of a cussing out from you, they jump in and tell you to go home, but if you are on the receiving end, they act as though nothing is going wrong, I have seen many people who woulda made d**n good soldiers broken to nothing in a matter of minutes at the hands of the management in this place and unfortunately I have a family member whose working there now and is complaining to me about the whole mess and I cant do a d**n thing about it. but if you ever thought that the food is fresh when you get it, think again, that beef patty you may be eating from this place is really made of tofu and that hot dog your eating, hope you like the taste of floor and shoes and possibly dog crap. I ended up on the receiving end of a cussing out from the manager's favorite so I clocked out and left, I went to the pay phone at the gas station I would get my drinks from and called the restaurant and told em I quit for the sake of my nerves and the remainder of my sanity, I went the next day to try and explain that I am a person and wish to be treated as such and I ended up in the backseat of a patrol car for voicing my opinion on the matter, I ended up being quite lucky that I knew the cop in question due to him being a family friend so I got a free ride home, days later I sent a letter requesting my pay check and I got a very threatening reply which guaranteed me that I wouldn't see the paycheck unless I give my apologies to the management for being out of hand, I went up there and posted a sign saying "welcome to Hell" went home and got a baseball bat and went back to claim what was rightfully mine, the manager in charge took off in their car. I came back later after scoping out the place and cornered the manager and claimed my pay for putting up with that.

needless to say the manager that made me leave got fired 2 days later in a revenge plot by a couple of friends and me, you would be surprised how fast the manager acts when they get a call about a boot print on a bun and what looks like bird feces on the tomato and the $300 ticket for 1 combo meal. to all who read this, do not under any circumstances work or eat at sonic if you know whats good for ya, you will regret it later on without a doubt. and do not get me started on the onion rings, you dont wanna know what their made of.
