They'll pressure you into buying the package and will promise great results. Don't buy into it!! They will also try and up-sell you on products that are completely over priced. After they've got you hooked, then they stop caring so much. My skin even got burned by one of the nurses because she was rushing.
Another horrible things is that they cannot keep appointments. They overbook and not have enough staff/rooms to cover all appointments. To make matters worse, the few times they have kept my appointment, my time somehow gets shortened. I make an appointment for a full body laser treatment for three hours and somehow end up with only two. They ask me to come back and finish off in another session. They are not considerate about people's time. I plan my day accordingly and arrive on time, and these people always give you the short-end of the stick. As I've waited for my appointment, I've talked to other customers who feel the excat same way, but are stuck in that contact, have already paid the money and cannot do anything about it anymore.
Initially they will talk to you about this "growth cycle" telling you you have to come back in 6 week. Problem is: they have n appointments in 6 weeks. They'll give you a 10 wk appointment and by that time my hair is all grown back.
NOTE: They have been asking patients to write positive reviews for them on yelp, citysearch, google, etc. So if you read those reviews, please BEWARE, it's prbably a review someone gave in lieu of a free treatment or a discount.

As to the Ripoff Report post dated August 30, 2012, it should be pretty clear that you cannot possibly be aware of the fact that most of the reviews for this company on yelp or citysearch are either fake or have been obtained through some discount. You just said it, and it is not true. My client has plenty of documentation from the real reviewers that confirming that their reviews are real.
I don't believe a review that one writes in exchange for a discount, money, or any other additional service. to me, it is false, biased, and not credible. in journalism, court, politics, sport or any other activity, it is unacceptable and one can go to jail for that. it is unethical business practice.

This original report is a hoax, we believe that this is a phony report by a competitive clinic or a very unhappy patient. We have had 48 reviews by actual patient on google here are 2 examples of what actual patients are saying from google maps.

Purchased the full body laser hair removal package and noticed a great reduction within the first few treatments. Overall, my experience with South Coast Medspa has been very positive. The staff is always friendly, and will work with you if you have any questions or problems.
They are open a bit later as well, which worked great with my work schedule.

I was lucky enough to find out about South Coast Med Spa while researching treatments for acne scars. I had already tried numerous microdermabrasion sessions and many painful chemical peels with little improvement. After watching the informative testimonials provided by previous patients my curiosity was peaked. I called and made a appointment for a consultation. I was very happy with the consultation, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have had two laser resurfacing sessions at South Coast MedSpa and I am elated with the results. The procedures were a bit uncomfortable but the results made it well worth it. I am so grateful to South Coast Med Spa.

I have completed two treatments of laser hair removal so far at South Coast Medspa. My experience with the staff, the environment, and the results of the treatment has exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked into the office I was greeted with the up most warmth and professionalism. After watching a brief and thorough powerpoint to explain the process of the hair removal, the type of laser that would be used, and how the results would evolve with each treatment, I was taken to have the treatment. It was quick and painless and within a week I was already shedding hair! I have been so pleased with my results in the areas that I am currently treating that I am considering doing other parts as well. I highly recommend South Coast Medspa to anyone interested.
