Deborha Donati and Tom Trottier of Naples Florida have been stealing peoples deposit money. You find a boat to purchase and they give you a contract that states that your money will be held in a escrow account until a sea trial is performed. If you decide not to buy they write you a check that is worthless "Insufficient Funds"
They have changed company names 3 times so far to try to stay ahead of being caught in the fraudulent acts they perform. After investagation I have found many people that this very same fraud has happen too by these to crooks.
Public records shows law suit after law suit, I will continue the chase of these crooks until they are charged with the crimes they have committed. Its is a third degree felony in the state of Florida for worthless checks.
Beware you could be next.

My wife and I have bought two boats from this company. Tom Trottier was our Salesman. Tom gave us very good accurate information. I feel that he put alot more time in with us, than I was use to in past dealings. He would travel and check out a particular boat, prior to my wife and I ever seeing it. That really sold me on buying a boat from him. We did turn down a boat after we inspected it, due to the hours on the motor not being accurate. We received our deposit back in no more than 4 or 5 days after we told him we didn't want to buy the boat. I have noticed that the person that complained here, actually wrote that complaint and posted it at 4:47 am on May 9th? I find that really odd? Is this a real complaint or could this be someone with some kind of other reason for trying to distroy a small company just trying to carve out a small living? Keep your chin up Tom & Debbie, I see that there are still some stand up people out there. We thank you again for your help in our purchase. Jim Mullens, Marco Island, Florida.

It was brought to my attention today that Tom Trottier who works at South Florida Boat Brokers LLC, has been received a less than accurate claim against his professional reputation. I have known Tom Trottier for about 7 years now. He sold a Pathfinder flats boat for me. I have found him to be nothing but professional. He handled the sale without any complications. He kept me informed along the way. Tom has a pretty good sales gig going, selling alot of boats along the way. I work within the Florida court system, and I can tell you that Tom Trottier has never been involved in any legal issue arrising from theft of a persons deposit or fraudulent misrepresentation. I would use Tom again for any sale or purchase of another boat.

I was just told about this ugly report about the man who sold our boat and sold us a new boat this year. Tom Trottier is a very honest man!! Who ever said he wasn't, has real issue's!! We are seasonal residents in Naples, Florida. We use to have a 2000 23' Hurricane deckboat, we wanted to get a newer boat. So we contacted Tom Trottier through boattrader.com about a boat he was advertising, a 23' Sailfish center console. He made our trade out of our boats so easy, without any worries, that I just couldn't beleive it. He sold our deckboat and got us more money than we would of ever throught we could have received for it. He set up a surveyor for the purchase of our new boat and aslo towed the boat down to a marine place so a machanic could inspect the motor. At no time did my husband or I ever feel like Tom was being dishonest. He has sold boats to 2 of our neighbors since. I have bought and sold 5 boats through Tom Trottier. I would like to think that I can speak of his character. Tom is a hard working, honest, reliable person. I have had many different dealings with tom over the course of ten or so years. I know for a fact, that tom has never been charged with a crime of theft or fraud. I know many other people in the boat industry, that also can attest to that.
I don't really know Debbie or Tom Donati. I have met Debbie once or twice. She displays to me, a person who is dedicated to her business? It is very distrubing to see people write things like this on the internet, who really don't know the people of which they slander. If any of what was said, was going on, the court would sure have a record of it? You just don't get away with taking peoples escrow deposits. This guy complaining is creating a bad situation over lies. DON'T LISTEN TO IT? MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT? HOW COULD THESE PEOPLE HAVE SUCH A GREAT BUNCH OF BOATS TO SELL? IS EVEEYBODY ELSE WRONG?

I own a Boat and Yacht repair company in Southwest Florida.I have known Tom Trottier for well over ten years. I have known the Donati's for over five years. I have done repairs on boats that they were selling for as many years as well. I have done repairs that have exceeded well into the thousands. I have never been witinessed to any off handed business dealings by any of the people that have been listed in this complaint. I routinely receive payment by check from both the Donati's and also from Tom Trottier. This guy does not know who he is attacking? I went to the court website, as displayed by Mr. Donati, there is no court records found for Tom Donati, Deborah Donati, East Naples Boat Company LLC, South Florida Boat Brokers LLC. As for Tom Trottier, he has 2 traffic violations, a collection from The Department of Revenue, and a disposed of small claims case from 2010 that has been satisfied? this is not the records of "Crooks"? My name is Thomas Donati and I am the owner with my sister Deborah Donati of South Florida Boat Brokers LLC. I am here to state that there is nobody who has ever had there deposit stolen! The gentleman that wrote this report was given a check by our salesman Tom Trottier that was from our operating account as we were out of town and was unaware of his turndown of the boat he was buying. The salesman had a signed check to pay a boat repair company, as we were not going to be in town to pay him. He instead gave that check to the complaintant instead. He did not know that there were two seperate accounts for this kind of refund. Prior to me returning to south Florida, the complaintant had all ready deposited the check and had it returned. We tried to make the check refund from where we were trveling from, but the bank mandated us to be present to sign the certified check refund request form before we could get the check issued. We have never owned a company named Naples Boat Sales and a search of the Florida corporation finder www.sunbiz.org will prove so! This man is angry and wants to make us pay for an oversight, made by a person that should have not even been involved in any refund to begin with. Public records show no lawsuits from our company Check the Collier County clerk of courts records your self? They are at www.colliercounty.org, clerk of courts records. Our other company East Naples Boat Company llc, has also never been sued!! Combining us with a company "Naples Boat Sales LLC." is a total misuse of this reporting agency.
