I signed up for Sparkletts water service and did not get the service I was promised. After getting a big bill and too many water jugs I cancelled the account with them back in 2008. They were nice and professional and very empathetic. I was told I owed not one cent and that I could go on with my happy life. It is 2012 and I now have a collection for $185.00 on my credit report. I have tried calling the collection agency listed on my report (CBA collection bureau) and they cannot tell me much about my account or help me because it is in AZ, out of state they said.
I have been trying to contact Sparkletts' billing department to see if they can help me, but the account is too old and has been forwarded to a collection agency so they can't help me. I have been going back and forth between these two companies and gotten nowhere. How am I supposed to settle this? How am I going to fix my CR if no one can direct me to the correct person who can help me??? I am frustrated I just want to settle this and get if off my CR. Terrible service and terrible customer service. I am never ever using their water delivery service again.

Posted this before. They were dropping off one 5 gallon jug per month at $4.95. I'd give the driver a $5 bill and each month they'd send me a statement showing a CREDIT of the 5 cents plus what the extra 5 cents had been adding up to. Well after a year or so, the LAST time the driver showes up, his handheld printer doesn't work, so he hand writes me a receipt for the $5 I give him and drives off. After that, no more deliveries. No big deal, I take the jug home and fill it at one of those places for $1 and save myself $4. Get a couple of statements which I chuck. Then one day I get a call from them telling me they're going to turn me OVER TO COLLECTIONS FOR NINETY FIVE CENTS. Seems the last time the driver came out, the price of a re-fill had gone to $5.95 and since I had ONLY given him $5 I was 95 cents short. I died laughing. I said "No really, you're gonna turn me over to collections for 95 cents"? I asked about the credit for the 5 cents extra I'd been paying. She tells me that since I have a credit of 60 cents and OWE 95 cents she'll WIPE OUT my balance and call it a wash. Lord, I dodged that bullet. The funny thing was I asked about the cooler 'cause I didn't want to get jacked for that. She says "WHAT COOLER"? I say "Never mind". and hung up.
