After seeing a television ad about SMC, in made a phone call and inquired about SMC and the products and membership. After agreeing to a 30 day membership trial, I gave them my bank account number and they withdrew $39.95 from my account. 15 days later I received their catalogs and membership information. They dated the membership start date from the day they shipped the catalogs which left me with about 10 days to review the information. After looking at the information and reviewing the bad reports on the information about the company, I decided to NOT be any part of this business. I promptly sent back the catalogs Return Receipt to make sure they couldn't lie about when they received the catalogs back. I shipped the catalogs back on November 3rd and the post office has on record they received shipment back on November 6th at 1:33 PM. At this point SMC knew I did not want to become any part of their company. On November 13th I discovered SMC withdrew $375.00 from my account which I did not have and caused my account to be overdrawn. I was charged by the bank for an overdraft charge of $34.00. This brings the total of this theft to $409.00. I am currently one of the 4 million people in this country unemployed. So were do I get the money to cover this theft? I called SMC and once they heard my complaint I was transfered to the so called proper department were I remained on hold for 48 minutes before finally coming to the conclusion I wasn't going to get any help. These people are down right no good for nothing thieves who steal from good people only trying to make an honest living. I wouldn't even think about doing this to someone else. They need to be closed down and prevented from ever doing any type of business like this again. They also need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and forced to pay back all the millions of dollars they stoled from people like me. I wish someone would call me and ask me to be a part of a class action suite against SMC. I would say thank God and yes in a heart beat. Tom Bosley is a rotten bastard also for putting his name and face on this scam. May he burn in Hell with the rest of SMC and all their employees.
