Springfield Walks (Garret Moffett) OWNER OF SPRINGFIELD WALKS A CON ARTIST Springfield ILLINOIS

The owner and proprieter of this company "Springfield Walks" is a fraud.  His for-profit business overcharges for tours that are of little historic value.  He advertises different types of tours and boasts about experience with tours abroad.  His lack of historical knowledge is obvious.  The idea of his tours is actually clever but the actual tours are laughable.  He has alot of out of town visitors fooled.  Most that come to Springfield Illinois sadly have little historic knowledge of Abraham Lincoln and the town of Springfield.  He has also written a couple of books about "Haunted Springfield" etc.  SAdly, most of his material in his books is either stolen from other authors that have written about Springfield or just an overview of his borning tours.  He has somehow gotten sponsored by the Illinois Tourism and Convention Bureau but hopefully once they find out what he has been  up to, they will pull their support.  This guy is a lunatic.  He pours over public forums and if he sees any reviews of his tours that he doesn't like or that are less than positive, he posts that they are "revenge reviews"!  Who does that?  I'll tell you - a paranoid and dishonest Mr. Garret Moffett.  Why can't the public have an opinion?  Maybe there are some people that just didn't like his tours.  Wake up Mr. Moffett!  Quit being a bully and start being honest for a change.  I agree with the other article.  You and your company are doing Springfield a disservice!
