For several nights between 12:30 a.m. - 2:a.m. I have received calls from 2 seperate cell phne numbers calling me all kinds of abusive names, stating that they are "cops" and stating that I have stolen their cell number and that they are going to have me arrested by the FBI. I have filed a criminal report with the Sheriff's Department and was advised by that department to also file a complaint with Sprint's Fraud Dept.
After spending over 3 hours on the phone with Sprint Customer Service trying to be connected to the Fraud Department... and then actually reaching the fraud department; I was told "there's nothing we can do about those types of calls!"

If anyone out there knows of anyone or any attorney that would be willing to take a class action against Sprint for the huge number of fraud practices of their own that goes on with billing, contracts, switch & baits, etc, etc, please let me know.

If I could get the coverage from any other carrier in our area I'd say good-bye to this horrible company immediately.

You should post the phone numbers here that they are calling you from!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

PLEASE post the 2 numbers here that you are being called from.

Also, if the Calls persist, you should go to the FBI, as it is a federal offense to use a communications device in that manner.

I do not see how Sprint is at fault here. I know you are upset, but it is NOT Sprint's fault by any means.

What exactly do you want Sprint to do? What exactly CAN they do, legally?
Nothing.

It takes a subpoena to get telephone records or the identity of the caller.

Here is an idea!

Since you have the numbers that have been calling you, take the numbers one at a time to a competing cell store, and act like it is your own and ask to port the number! Then pay close attention to the clerks reaction and what he/she says. A name and/or billing address might be divulged if you pay attention.

You can play games too!
Have some fun with these idiots!

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I would leave Sprint and LQQK....No Early Termination Fee!!!!

AUTHOR: Ushoulddumpsprint - (U.S.A.)

January 1st 2009 Sprint is raising the Surcharge on the customers bill which gives the customer the right to OPT OUT of the contract with NO early termination fee (ETF). Make sure you tell this to everybody on your mobile to mobile network. Sprint may tell you that you cannot do this. Escalate the call to a supervisor or manager.

It can be hard to cancel a line with sprint for the employees metrics are negatively affected. It is easier to port the number out and then change the number with the new carrier if you want a new number. Once your number is ported, it will automatically shut down your Sprint account. Before you port, make sure the ETF is waived and call back and double check with another rep and have them read the previous reps note making sure notated that the etf will be waived.

There is an interaction number if you ask for it. They may also try to offer you things but remember you had all those billing issues. Do you really trust to stay at this point? You have to wait till you get your first bill after January 1st and when the change in surcharge amount is viewable....you may then cancel with not ETF. You need to cancel right away for if you pay the bill, you accept the charge and you are still locked into your agreement.

Next Step to take...

AUTHOR: Jen - (U.S.A.)

I actually work for a competitor of Sprint but I've had Sprint service in the past and yes they can be difficult.

If you already have the phone #'s for the individuals calling you, then this is not a Sprint issue anymore.

Your local police department really needs to advise / help you get a subpeona so that you can get the legal proof you need to press charges against the individuals calling you. Typically once a subpeona is obtained, the police would contact the cellular company to get a fax# to send a copy of the subpeona to, which by law the cellular company as to comply with.

Then maybe you could take legal action. If Sprint blocks the current phone #'s from calling you, whats to say these individuals won't just use a different phone to harrass you?? Good luck.

Dear Shrugged???

AUTHOR: Pastor167 - (U.S.A.)

Apparently you have never had to deal with Sprint or you work for them. They treat everyone including the Police as if they are there own world wide entity.
I already have the numbers of the people that were calling me in the middle of the night. The Police have done their job; however Sprint requires you to file a report with their fraud department as well so that SPRINT can block the numbers that are calling and harrassing you! But it's just a phone call circle, you never get resolution with Sprint! On ANYTHING!

How do you know they are Sprint customers????

AUTHOR: J G Shrugged - (U.S.A.)

The police are the ones who can subpoena the phone records to find out who is using the #s that are calling you. Why is this Sprint's fault????
