NEVER do business with St. Timothy Chair Co.!!! Worse than the junk this company manufactures/sales is the way it cheats and treats its customers.  

 I prepaid over $1,000 for an executive leather office chair.  In turn, I received a cheap, defective, low-grade, substandard chair.  The seat was broken, the staples under the seat were haphazardly placed, the leather-edged piping was pulled and uneven, and the quality of the leather seemed inferior, although I paid extra for high-quality leather.  Also misleading was the fact that the company referred to the wood (not the wood finish) as mahogany, which it was not.  Instead, it was some type of light-weight, flimsy wood with a hollow, rickety feel to it.  Overall, the chair was a piece of junk.  

Upon notification of the issues, the company only offered to repair the broken seat; no replacement nor refund.  Because the chair had far too many defects and quality issues to overcome, I requested a full refund.   

After a lot of haggling with the lowly Quality Control rep., she eventually offered a refund for half the invoice amount, stating that the company would keep $500 as a restock fee since company policy does not allow returns on “custom” orders.  I was not made aware of the company’s policy upon placing the order, nor do I have any record of signing a non-refundable agreement.   

Since paying a restock fee for a defective chair was unacceptable, I requested to speak to someone in upper-level management.  My request was denied, as were all requests from there forward.  Apparently, the vice president and the president refuse to take phone calls.  Finally, I sent a certified letter to the COMPANY'S PRESIDENT, TOMMY SHORES.  It went unacknowledged.   

So for doing business with St. Timothy Chair Co., I was cheated out of $500, I was unjustly treated by company staff and its president, and I have NOTHING tangible to show for it.
