Stainsafe Companies and Harlem Furniture ripoff! Worthless warranty. Palm Beach Gardens Florida

We purchased a leather sofa set from Harlem furniture in October 2002. Harlem furniture also sold us Stainsafe Companies warranty for the sofa set. The sofa set is really loosing its color and getting out of shape in just one year of the purchase. This is really frustrating as we have spent big bucks on it.

We contacted Stainsafe for the repair towards our warranty. Somebody from that company came and examined the sofa set and told us that he would have to contact the head office as the work needed to fix the sofaset is not under his control and he will ask the company to have the sofa set shipped to the company and have it fixed over there.

We waited for almost 3 months and nobody contacted us. So we called the Stainsafe Company and they said they will get back to us about it. To our surprise we received this letter from them stating, Per the terms and obligations of your warranty agreement, each occurrence of staining of damage must be reported to Stainsafe within the time frame stated on your warranty certificate. Multiple areas of staining or damage indicate lack of adherence to the reporting time frame as required in order to obtain service. The truth of the situation is, Stainsafe is trying to get away by giving us this unrealistic reason.
