In recruiter e-mails when appling in 2010, recruiter stated many times "Koch Trucking offers its employees a starting rate of .32 to .38 cpm (based on experience), Plus $300/month performance bonus, and annual increases". Well, 33 months with the company, never saw anything in regards to the "$300/ month performance bonus or annual increases". The only increase in 33 months was a .01 cpm increase which everyone received in 2013.

The recruiter e-mails also stated " Koch pays all tolls, permits, lumpers, and scale fees." Well, Koch did pay Tolls and scale fees. The catch there is, the driver would at times have to pay certain tolls out of their own pocket and for all scales, the driver would then have to turn in the receipts for reimbursement. Koch would reimburse the driver but they would show it as weekly earning so it would be taxed. How can they do this? That money you took out of your pocket to pay the tolls & scales had already been earned & taxed. How can they tax and show it as earned income..AGAIN ?

In the KOCH EMPLOYEE DRIVERS HANDBOOK (pg 18, Performance Review and Salary Merit Increases) it states "Performance evaluation are scheduled approximately every 12 months, cionciding generally with the anniversary of the employee's original hire date". 33 months with the company, I never had, saw, signed or knew anything about a review or evaluation, thus no increase in pay.

Koch also had a "DETENTION POLICY" it states " Detention time is defined as a driver being held at a customer or consignee for a period greater then two hours past their arrival time or their appointment time" Well, they found a way to weasel out of that and cheat the driver. When the driver was on-time for the appointment (IAW the load assignment received via the QualComm) and the load was not ready for pick up or the consignee was not ready to accept the delivery and the driver had been there the 2 hours period and was now eligable for DETENTION PAY, the driver manager would send a "UPDATED LOAD ASSIGNMENT" changing the Pick UP / APPOINTMENT TIME or the DELIVERY TIME from the original load assignment set time to a open window (example: Pick Up/Deliver time 1400, as soon as detention time started it would be updated to read, Pick Up/Deliver time - 1400 to 2000). Now the driver would have to sit there for hours and not get paid.

The best is there policy concerning Drivers Personal Effects Policy, "KOCH is not  liable for any lost or damaged property" Understood, but when a company driver in a COMPANY OWNED truck has to replace over a $1,000 of PERSONAL PROPERTY over a 2 year period that was damaged as a result of electrical issues with the COMPANY TRUCK (which the Head of Maintenance - Director ) witnessed and acknowledged that there was a issue/problem with the electrical system and apologized after 2 years of reporting it/writing it up and complaining about it stating "Larry, I'm Sorry, Now I Believe You, There is a electrical problem" but then quickly makes a point of letting me know the Company holds no responsibility for my losses even after he witnessed & acknowledged it was a result of their truck.

That is just another example of what they think of and how they treat and take care of their drivers.

Just like operating their truck for 2 years with warning lights and Electrical System Fault  for ABS Brake System, Traction Control System, lighting systems not to mention the Exhaust Leaks or having to sleep or try to sleep in the drivers lounge at a truck stop for days sometime a week or more while on the road because I had NO HEAT at night in the dead of winter and couldn't stay in the truck.

Not even going to comment (atleast at this time) about how much fun it was being called back to the shop to be dismissed, how I sat in a neighboring busniesses parking lot at 7:30pm in 30 degree weather with my belongings when I finished getting them out of their truck and getting off their property being I was no longer an employee, Didn't seem to be a concern to KOCH that I had no money, no place to go, no place to sleep and no clue how I was going to get from Mn back home to Il.  I ended up throwing over $300 - $350 dollars worth of food and personal property in the dumpster because I received no help from anyone at KOCH, not even a box or bag to put things in, I had to dig in dumpsters for the boxes I had. Think they cared....NOT

To show you how much Stan Koch & Sons cares, it's been a week now and not even a call, follow up nothing to see if I even made it home or if I was huddled under a bridge somewhere.

Now I'm just waiting to see if and how they screw me on my last paycheck. Are they going to screw me on my final loads, milage, stops, scales or unused vacation ?  What kind of BS are they going to try and put on my DAC Report, they are very good and known to put BS on the drivers DAC after being dismieed. Well, time will tell

If anyone wants to know more about KOCH or what they did to me, Please ask, I have nothing to lose I'll tell
