Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I took my new Chevy Aveo in for a routine oil change. When I picked up my car, a $75 bill awaited me along with an oily footprint on the carpet of my car!! they rotated the tires and did all the bells and whistles along with my oil change to the tune of far more than I could afford that day and to add insult to injury this location caused me the cost of having to shampoo my mat because their grubby mechanics can't keep from ruining your car while servicing it.
That should have been my first warning, but no, my engine light came on and my car started shuddering and hesitating badly, so I freaked out and took it to the closest dealership since my vehicle is under warranty. the closest dealership was Stanley and I should've saved myself the time and effort of taking it there.
They called me at 2pm today to inform me that there was something wrong with the ignition coil in cylinder 4 and they would need to order the part in order to fix it. the part would not come in till Wednesday. I asked what I was supposed to do till then. They said they don't do loan cars and my bumper to bumper warranty doesn't provide for one. Being the fact that this is my first new car and I'm a single woman, I felt a sneaking suspicion that once again, I was being taken. my car will not operate properly on the highway.
I called another dealership to ask if this info was correct. Musser Motors in Terrell told me that they had had to fix many screw up Stanley Chevrolet had caused and that if a car is under warranty and not able to be driven until fixed, a loan car is provided for under warranty.
I called Stanley to tell them I didn't appreciate being lied to and that I would be picking my car up. they put me on hold, apparently to make sure this was going to be ok with their awful management, and got back on the line to tell me that I had the option of driving around my car until wednesday but thats all they could do for me. when I went to pick up my car, no apologies were made and the service director ignored me. I told them I would never come back. Do not go to the this dealership unless you are a country, good ol' boy, because that's the only people they want to deal with there.
