so I went to starbucks drive thru to get a drink. At the lady was handing me my change, I could not reach out that far to get it, and asked her nicely if she could reach her hand out at me a little further to hand it to me...she got hostile mean and just threw the change at me so rudely... what is wrong wtih the whackos who work at drive thru places like this...they get angry over people's requests who may have bad arms, or joint pain..? it is very surprising that people are so rude and stupid they behave in this way towards others...
you would think that in society, people would be more accommodating towards those who have certain needs or requests, much less something as simple as extending your arm out a few inches, which is the job of the employee- but they don't do that, they get rude and mean, and begin abusing people for no reason. its a shame these idiots who work at these places decide to take their aggression out on others in this disgusting way...talk about bad service...

Starbucks gangstalkers

AUTHOR: Underwhelmed consumer - (U.S.A.)

I am sitting in a Starbucks on Washington Street in downtown Boston.  The snarky barista greeted me with "What can I get you, sweetie?"  And every time he had something to say, he ended it with the very offensive moniker, "sweetie."  When I asked him if he realized whether or not it was unorthodox to call a grown woman (with gray hair) "sweetie," he said he would never do it again -- and then called me, "dear."

I asked if the music could be lowered and it was lowered for approximately 3 minutes and then cranked up again.  When I asked for it to be lowered again, it was turned off -- and then the air conditioning was turned up! This is the second time in as many weeks this has happened.

So the problem is whether you wish to shop at a company that employs minions of fascist quislings.  does Starbucks want to be identified as a haven for SS-like gangstalkers:  http://dontfearyourfreedom.blogspot.com/2009/04/confronting-american-fascism.html?
Perhaps Starbucks doesn't pay its staff enough that they can resist the incentives offered them by gangs that stalk for private organizations such as www.infra-gardboston.org.  Perhaps they have so little self respect they think its fun to terrorize people and wouldn't care a whit if they weren't incentivized.  Perhaps they're from a group that has been marginalized by American society for so long, they see gangstalking as a way of getting back at the "crackers," like me -- truly democratizing society in the way social custom and jurisprudence never has.  Maybe its a combination of all of these factors -- who knows?  One thing's for sure:

Businesses in America, such as Starbucks, better start acknowledging these fascist
business practices and condemning them -- not because it will alleviate my torment, but simply because it's the patriotic thing to do and not doing it will ensure that someday, when the stalking turns into assault, then armed assault, then assassination it won't happen to the good people at HQ.  That is what Starbucks is creating by not addressing this problem head-on -- a culture in which no one is safe.

Drive thru employees deal with a lot

AUTHOR: Kayte - (USA)

She shouldn't of been rude but keep in mind that drive thru employees (it doesn't matter where you work) get frustrated when:

1. customers won't even try reach out to take change or their orders and empolyees are hanging half way out the windows.

2. customers role down their windows maybe an inch to order when it's raining and expect they will be heard.

3. customers won't acknowledge you or act like the employee is inconviencing them because they would rather hold down a cell phone conversation when being served.

Should you have been the one feeling the heat of her frustrations? No. But keep in mind that it's these things that add up that make drive thru employee frazzled to say the least.

AUTHOR: Ashley - (U.S.A.)

but I expect my baristas to be angry and hostile.

That means they are good baristas.

Nothing's better than getting insulted for your coffee.
