OptiGroove is in Path 4 of the Journey which means it is in the fouth "stage" of opening your web business. And so is your merchant account.. That is when they have the most money coming from you. I fell for the merchant account and all total they were withdrawing $250 a month with the $80 for the merchant account and the $134 for the "non-cancealable lease".
Also they do not give you a choice as to whether you want or need the computer. I had two computers. I didn't need this one. When I got mine the spacebar didn;t work... I sent it back to be fixed.. They wiped out the harddrive and sent it back.. I complained on the conference calls at the right time and they sent technicians to my house to fix it. They cracked the case.
I closed the bank account they were withdrawing money from. I had opened a seperate account under my business name for them to withdraw money from so it didn;t interefere with my family checking account. But now I am wondering - I asked customer service when I closed the account if the could touch my other account and she said no. But after reading my contract I wonder if they can't. It says they can obtain the funds from any and all accounts you are in controll of. It sounds like they can debit any account you have.
I myself am calling a lawyer. I would love to be able to discuss this with anyone else. But we are not allowed to list email addresses. I wish there was a forum so we could discuss this and support each other. I am thinking of opening a discussion on Yahoo Groups if anyone is interested. Look for Startup Essentials Fraud. Any support we can give each other would be great. It feels so much like you are fighting this battle alone when you can;t talk to others with the same issue.

POSTED: Monday, March 28, 2011Hello...I was looking up another companies report, and just for sake of being curious put in my own company name. In doing so, came across this complaint. I wanted to make sure that none of my clients who may come across this complaint do their own Due-diligence, mistake my company for the one notated here. My company "US Merchant Services" is in Cypress, CA and has nothing whatsoever to do with the account that is being discussed in this complaint.
As I do feel for the client who was put in this position, I have to say that is not the methods of operation for our company here, as we treat our clients with respect and attentiveness not elsewhere found in this industry.
As "Merchant Services" is a term used on virtually 50% of merchant statements, please note, this complaint is not connected with "US Merchant Services" in Cypress, CA nor anyone in our employ.

In Response to Charging Your Credit Card

POSTED: Thursday, September 20, 2007I would cancel that card and get another one issued if it was my account... If they catch wind that you might cancel the card or anything they may quickly charge you a large sum - either a fee for breaking the lease or the total lease amount.. So you need to stop them from getting money out of that account again if it means closing the account and having them issue you a new account. Just expalin to the credit card company your situation.. Let them know what you are going throuigh... I have found most people at the bank and at the credit card compm=nies and such to be very understanding and very helpful. You need as many of these people on your side as possible...
I would love to work directly with anyone that is going through this same thing right now.. I would love to team up with anyone so we don;t have to do this alone.. Support could help when it gets tough. I have some information I could share with you as well. I am working the Lease Breaker program. So far so good. I think they have just now started calling me.. I closed my account the day before they were to debit the account the first and I have not heard from them. Except the past two days an 800 number keeps calling about every hour but they will not leave a message... So I think it may be them, finally. So here we go... I have written the credit bureau and the State'a Attorney's office and I am going to file a complaint with the BBB.

I found out that A-1 leasing was charing to my credit card

POSTED: Saturday, September 15, 2007The first charge was in the month of may, witch was 2 months after the last letter from Bond Corp telling me it had been turned it over for collections. They waited untill the month of August and chraged me 2 payments or $131.44 and charged me again this month.
I made the mesteak of paying one month with my credit card before i closed my checking account and stopped paying them. If any of you have paied Bond Corp with a credit card you need to check your credit card statements often and cancel your credit card account and get a new card.
I plan on contacting a lawyer about this matter and see if legal action can be taken against Bond Corp for the unauthorized charges to my credit card.
Im mad as hell about this, and those butt pirates are not getting away with it !
