We were involved in a car accident on 8/19/12. We were stopped and a lady rear ended us at 75 mph, it was completely her fault and she admitted to it. Several times myself and our lawyer had to call and threaten State Auto to take care of our medical bills, some had been out there for over 4+ months. They always had an excuse. Our claims rep Lisa Henry NEVER returns calls and when they do finally pay a medical claim they pay the wrong amount or fail to send the EOB and dates of service with the check so the providers could not balance out our accounts.
I am scared what is going to happen when we go to settle our case because this is my insurance and not the person at fault, all we are trying to do here is get our med pay covered, ughh! Even all the billing office personnel at all the medical offices say they are the WORST to deal with and they CRINGE every time a check arrives from them because they know that it will be a battle to figure it out!
My husband keeps getting told by doctors to find a new career since the accident. [continued below]....
........ he had to have back surgery and is a self employed plumber - we suffered for 10+ years building this business and now we should just FOLD IT, who is going to cover that? The lady that hit us has insurance through Harleysville and they have been decent to deal with, but we will need our Underinsured Motorist coverage to kick in if my husband has to fold his business and I do not have any faith that State Auto will do anything correctly!
