Many State Farm agents cheat their employees by paying them with 1099's. When employees are paid this way that is illegal. Staff employees are employees of the State Farm agent, not State Farm. But they are employees and NOT independent contractors.
By paying staff 1099's it takes away employees rights and benefits. There are no workers compensation taxes being paid, no unemployment taxes, no payroll taxes, no social security taxes.
Shame on State Farm agents that cheat their employees with 1099's. Employees rightly need their employee benefits.
State Farm agents stop breaking the law. Pay with W-2.

I am not saying that all State Farm agents do 1099's for their employees. But some do. Those that do that are cheating. Some agents hire their staff temporarily and try to get away with it that way.

The IRS has very specific guidelines as to when is someone an employee vs. when they are an Independent Contractor. If you have proof that they are clasifying people as a 1099 contractor rather than a w-2 employee, then you need to contact the IRS.
